Few might know that Noem herself was banned from most tribal lands when she was Governor due to her statements about Native Americans. That ICE would be insensitive or lack training concerning Native Americans and their ID's etc. should be no surprise.

I don't think that any of us expect perfection, but I do hope we all expect competence. I would also hope that any ICE agent would know how to run an ID check. Surely there is a way to run Native American ID's? If not why? But I don't blame the individual agents who have little training. The blame goes up the chain.
