  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The third world countries are the real threat! Wake up! They are the ones with the cartels, who use their own people to smuggle the drugs into this country, which poisons our population with mind altering substances, causing them to fail in education, lose the jobs they can get, become unemployable going forward, and then eventually, off to prison.
Those fragile First World people sound weak and decadent.

Those fragile First World people sound weak and decadent.
A lot of addicts are in low income areas, where drugs are introduced to them in their early teenage years. They become life-long addicts, and suffer from psychological distress because of it, their entire lives.

So yes, kids do tend to be weak and decadent, regardless of "where". And turning a blind eye to this ongoing cycle it is not compassionate at all.

Discipline bad. Discipline equal Russia. We want kumbaya, and sing happy song all day.
Yeah, we need to discipline those drug trafficking third world countries which are forcing us to buy their drugs.

AI Overview

Approximately 85% of the U.S. prison population has an active substance use disorder (SUD) or were incarcerated for a crime involving drugs or drug use.

...The cycle is real. It's not all kumbaya with feeding the world's poor. We're getting destroyed here.
All people from third world countries no. Also I am not sure how Trump can say the US will permanently do anything your time sir WILL be up 1-20-29. The MOST you can say is no one is coming until then and moreover in terms of removing anyone who is not a net asset what about citizens who are elderly or disabled one could argue we ( I happen to be disabled) are not really an asset in the traditional sense. This whole America first thing ship sailed oh I do not know about 70 years ago things are global now he does not have to like it, but it is time he learn to accept it

When the proposed solution is to stop all immigration from Madagascar or Bangladesh, I'm going to need to see the logical connection between the one and the other. Seeing things that aren't there is also a problem of faulty vision.

Yeah, our kids from poor neighborhoods, who start using as teenagers belong in jail if they can't make better life decisions as adolescents. What's wrong with them.

That is just it people need treatment for their drug use and look I have a cousin who spent last holiday season in court ordered rehab and has issues with addition all of his adult life now in his early 40s. Here is the deal people who abuse drugs have to want to change they will get drugs one way or another. The drug war has failed so badly at this point that it is time to try something different besides incarceration. There are methods and not the death penalty either that have been PROVEN to be more effective. In fact depending on the drug quitting cold turkey CAN prove fatal just as an overdose can ( Alcohol is among those drugs by the way). Not everyone in a third world countries brings in drugs and just addressing the supply ( which you literally cannot do completely anyway as some drugs are made by things here is not going to do it.

Jail has been proven to be a less effective option.

The charitable interpretation would be that he assumes that from here on out, it will only be maga republicans who will hold the government.

The United States is not a charity organization for the rest of the world. I think that's the ship that has sailed, as the only ones showing up at the No Kings Rally's are the baby boomers, and Gen X women. Younger generations aren't seeing it.

The message The West has been setting for the rest of the world, is an 'anything goes' mentality, and other governments see that, and then they sluff off their own responsibilities. It's a bad example, and a bad trend. We need to set a new example of national *responsibility*, and push other countries in that direction, regardless of "Russia" or "fascist" name-calling propaganda.

Keep in mind that if JosephZ had written that ignorant and disgusting trash instead of just quoting Trump it would be reportable.
This is true, and the fact that the president of the United States wrote this ignorant and disgusting trash should concern every American. It's not normal and dangerous.

Yes it does. But it effects certain groups more severely than other groups, and studies show that low-income areas suffer the worst fate, because that's where the drug dealers live and sell their products because it becomes their job. Again, this is a known cycle that people prefer not to acknowledge.

“We’re getting destroyed”? Who is we, the people who choose to buy drugs? Are you getting destroyed by drugs because they’re available? And who is “they”? Do you judge people by their actions or do you judge them by their race and nationality?

so that would seem to suggest that the younger generations do not care. The youngest baby boomers will be 62 next year the oldest will be 80. If the people in their 20s, 30s and early 40s do not see it we are the "next in line, so if anything by your logic it would be better for the YOUNGER generations to support that.

He’s a disgrace to my race, my religion, and my country. This is what happens when the American people are forced to choose between the lesser of two idiots, the outcome is always going to result in having an idiot in office.

Or maybe people in their 20s, 30s and early 40s are tired of Kumbaya. Maybe they prefer the *responsibilities* a nation ought to have for it's own citizens, and they want to spread that message instead of the global sluff-off-ness of 'anything goes'.
