  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Mamdani Model: More Socialist Mayors to ComeBeware! The DSA will attempt to repeat Mamdani’s success in other Democrat strongholds.

Even the muslim immigrants children will abandon their god.
Current data:
While 23% of Muslims deconvert from Islam in adulthood, there is also a 23% increase of converts to Islam (20,000 Americans annually), in the United States.

In the United States, 77% of Muslim "converts" come from Christian backgrounds, and just 6% of Christian converts come from Muslim backgrounds.

Conclusion:
Islam is growing faster than Christianity in the United States, while Christian numbers remain stable overall due to the immigration of Catholic Christians into America from Mexico.

...Nonetheless, if New York turns into an Islamic hub, and African American conversion to Islam (the most common converts) increase there, while Islamic immigration also continues, it could really change the face of New York going forward. It would be a stark difference to the national numbers.

We could potentially see a predominantly Islamic East coast (NY), with a predominantly Christian West Coast (LA).

Los Angeles is barely majority Christian. And ICE is busy removing many of them.

ETA: the proportion of Christians is higher (a teensy bit) in NYC than LA.

I think this is at least in part from the 'Slow March' of cultural Marxism through the institutions and into mainstream society. At least as a counter culture to the establishment that prevailed generations before.

Teaching such ideas in academia was always going to manifest in modern versions. What is telling that this is not just some Peaceful rising of an alternative society and equal and diverse utopia. But at its extremes a subversion and the bringing down of the establishment through violent means.

The natural end result of such political ideology. At least in its modern version which has also been influenced by other ideas including anti semetism and Christian narratives. Which is spiritual and ideological.

WE can see the red flags where more people are willing to support violence as a means and this actually playing out in attacks on police and people in authority that hold conflicting beliefs or views.

But it has been brewing for some time by the language and narratives pushed that has created a divide or us and them mentality. Sooner or later when this mentality is continually repeated it becomes reality and people start to put it into action.

When it gets to that point its too late as the ground work has already taken root enough that it is moved from just words to action. Then one action feeds another and this is fuel for the bomb fire.

I think England is having this problem with large areas all Muslim. The locals become the minority in their own areas. Its strange because you could go down the road into a pub and there would be a Yorkshire or Cockney accent lol.

I think for most western nations the Italian immigration was not too different. Most immigrants were from westernised Christian nations. But it gets harder when there is a completely alien culture that has some fundemental differences. Or the ideology that comes with the culture.

It becomes a case of which culture rules. Which should be based on at least the constitional agreed principles of freedom ect. So it seems strange that an alien culture or ideology could become popular and take over. It seems like its more about a ideological belief than commonsense or reality.

From Mexico, eh? That sure sounds "current". Last I head the net migration from Mexico was low and it was large from central America and the north of South America.

Also you math isn't mathing very well.

A "23% increase of converts to Islam (20,000 Americans annually)" sure reads as if the raw number of convert rose from about 16000/year to 20000/year in some unspecified time frame.

If 23% of those raised Muslim leave, with several million Muslims in the US, that indicates somewhere near 1 million ex-Muslims of any faith or none at all.

23% is a solid deconversion rate. Not quite at Catholic levels, but getting there.

You should have seen what it did to Italy. Not sure if they will ever recover.

My mistake. Fresher data shows around 30,000 Americans convert to Islam annually, a number that has shown an increase, particularly in recent years.

** It is projected that by 2100, Islam will become the largest religion in the United States**

I am now officially an advocate for Constitutional reform. Because that's what it takes to banish one single religion (Islam) from this great land. I want it to be illegal.

A land that banishes religions is not great.

An invasive religion that takes over, and swallows up a land is not great! And also, Canada faces the same fate by 2100.

Christians, and those of good will, are going to have to push to dismember or donate our military to Mexico, and go there if the constitution cannot be changed. Within the next 75 years. Or become Muslim.

Ha! It's either we change it now, or someone else changes it in 75 years, for us. Take your pick, you have two options.

I’m in total agreement here because if we can ban one religion we can ban any of them and I feel personally more threatened by Christianity than I do Islam and since your religion is already declining well enough on its own, it wouldn’t take too much effort to make American Christianity a thing of the past. Surprising to see a Christian advocate for this but we atheists will take all the allies we can get.
