  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

For some reason this fascinates me a lot. All of the eucharistic miracles suggest that Jesus has AB blood type. I have also heard that AB blood type was common in New Testament era Palestine. But AB is the universal receiver blood type, not the universal donor. Only those with AB blood can receive AB blood. AB blood is also extremely rare, with roughly 4% of people having it. Could this tie in to the path to heaven being narrow? Is Jesus not the universal donor? If so, wouldn't that necessitate Him having O negative blood? I'm trying to not sound like a Pharisee here, it is something I am genuinely curious about. How does blood type work in relation to communion?

Your post is why I like CF as you share something unique and interesting that I never considered. My thinking is that if the blood of animals could cover sins in the Old testament, then the blood of Jesus is quite capable of removing our sins before God regardless of blood type.

Welcome to CF!

I understand your position and the significance of the AB blood type in those traditions ( the doctrine of Transubstantiation). However, as a Protestant who believes in symbolism, my focus is different. I view communion purely as a powerful act of remembrance commanded by Christ, which makes the elements a sacred symbol of His final sacrifice. On another note, it is not possible to know the blood type of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Thanks for sharing!
Be blessed
