  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So far, at least nine (now ~40) (now ~160) judges, including Trump appointees, have called a halt to Trump executive actions

Just means the lower courts are incorrect. A lot of them. We know how this works that those who file suits judge shop, looking for those who have a propensity to rule certain ways. The Supreme Court is Supreme. The lower courts have been wrong on their rulings more often than right.
Many of the lower court decisions were made by Republican judges who have more integrity than the Supreme Republicans.

trump owns the Supreme Court Judges. They will not dare rule against their Dear Leader. Wake up.
No president owns the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court rules upon how they interpret the Constutution. Are you telling me that the years that liberals owned the Supreme Court rhey were just not daring to rule agai at their Democrat Presidents. Or were they simply ruling based upon their own interpretations of the Constitution? Your argument is totally hypocritical. Unless you feel that way about every Supreme Court.

We haven't had a 6-3 court in years. And the two with the most longevity have impeachment worthy ethical violations. Thomas-numerous financial violations. Alito-Extreme political decorations.

Why? Just becauae they ruled against Trump. Thats the only way to show integrity? If you rule for him you have none?

How about the judges just ruled and they were wrong. There is judge shopping we know that. So that would account for a lot of the losses. And Trump appointed judges can be wrong too.

I think is actually more of an indicator that Democrats arw really just gunshotting anything and everything instead of being alter focused on certain things. I hate to beeaknit to people, but not everything Trump does is against rhe constitution, no mattwr what you think.

Believing that Trump acts with a shred of integrity requires too much suspension of disbelief than most people can muster.
And even when Republican judges see red lights flashing all over there is obviously corruption in the Supreme Court.

Maybe not a 6-3, but we've certainly had a 5-4. And thats all it takes.

The court has ruled against Trump and it wont be the last time. Its interesting how things change. As long as the court ruled in favor of your guy it was great. Nothing wrong they are just ruling according to the constitution. And everyone who didnt like it could stuff it. Final say. Now if they rule in favor of our guy then its because he owbs them and has nothing to do with the constitution.

Pardon me if I just dismiss your arguments.

Obviously because they have ruled in his favor. Would have nothing whatsoever to do with the fact he is acting within his authority. Because you just don't think he is. Therefore any court tgat sides with you has integrity. Any court that doesn't has no integrity.

If you ask me the liberals on the court have so little integrity you couldn't put it in a thimble. Because they can't see past their bias to even consider that what Trump has done is constitutional in tge matter set before them.

Tge fact that even the conservatives have ruled against him from time to time shows they are sticking with constutionality and not bias. They are much more in tune with integrity.

If that's your only standard for integrity (ruling against an administration of the same party as the president who appointed them), then the liberal justices on the Court have plenty of integrity as well - they ruled against the Biden administration from time to time.

I agree that the greatest error of the Roberts court was drastically, catastrophically, and unconstitutionally expanding what is "within his authority."
Expanding the authority of a man historians deem the worst president in history will give Roberts the title "worst chief justice" in history.

It it is quite an accomplishment given that Roger Taney existed.

Is that what you got out of it? Oh well, I tried.

What are you agreeing with? Cause I don't think I mentioned anything that is in your post. You must be talking to someone else.

More accurately, the same oligarchy that supports Trump owns several of the judges and rents some of the others.
