It's not the job of the President of the United States to provide benefits. It's the job of the Congress to vote and pass bills so the president can sign them. The Republicans in the Senate have done their job repeatedly, while the Democrats in the Senate continue to stand in the way which is why the government remains shut down.
If only the democrats in the Senate would vote for the government to be open again, benefits will once again flow to their constituents. Until then, we wait, and wait....

The president's job is to "execute the law"
And in this case to execute providing those congressional emergency funds to snap participants.
Why a judge has to basically force him to do his job tells you what kind person he is.
But again, unlike times before let's hope he doesn't choose to ignore this judge.

A lot of democrats disagree. Some feel that keeping health care subsidies is worth the fight, and are glad to see the Democratic Party standing up for Americans who need affordable health care instead of caving in to the Republican plan to end them.
