  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

SHOW ME YOUR WORKS BY YOUR FAITH. ( THOSE WHO TEACH LAW, WHCH IS NOT OF FAITH.)

So in your view we can break these commandments and that's faith to you, doing the opposite of what Jesus taught is faith. Mat 15:3-14 Mark7:7-13 Mat19:17-19 Mat5:19-30 etc

James2:11-12 Rev11:18-19 Rev 22:14-15

Take care.
Those of the law, are the disobedient, they are told if they break the least commandment they are in danger of hell fire.

Love is what the little ones do, as they are converted of the Holy Ghost, which is they believe in Him.

james clarified what i am saying to you, see it again, if we fulfil to love our neighbour as ourself we do well, if not we dont, and it shows we are those in danger of hell fire, as we are then of the law which is not for the righteous man byt for the lawless disobedient profane.

Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
21 Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Matthew 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Matthew 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
7 Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
8 Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.

1 Timothy 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

James 2:8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

Looking at the next verse least in heaven means not there. Love is keeping these commandments, its what fulfills them, not breaking them Rom13:9 that is sin and rebellion. 1John3:4 Rom8:7-8 Heb3:7-13

Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

If you have your own righteousness and do not need God's Psa119:172 Psa56:1-2 they are probably not for you.

I have no righteousness, so I need Gods and He told us to keep them, so thats what I shall do through His Spirit John14:15-18 John15:10

Our decisions will be sealed Rev22:11 and He determines who enters His gates of heaven Rev22:14 and does not Rev22:15 Rom7:21-23 1John3:4
The law and the prophets are this:

Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

We keep them this way:

Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

We enter in by BELIEF FREELY

Revelation 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Revelation 22:114 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

They are called the least, they are not in Heaven according to Matthew 5:20,, these are in heaven Matthew 18:4-6:

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

They don't believe as the little ones, humbled, they are ones of the law that is why Jesus instructed them according to their own ways.

By the way this also:

Matthew 12:33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Just thought I would give it one last try.

I'll place this here, as it appears you missed it

James 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

2 Peter 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

This is to keep His commandment and also to receive the Holy Spirit as PROVEN BELOW, we see no example in the new testament of anyone receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit by keeping of commandments as you sadly insist without one credible back up SO FAR.

I believe the popular teaching that God doesn't give His Spirit to those who yield themselves to Him in obedience to His Judgments and Commandments, is one of many false teachings. I would like to share the reason for this understanding in the hope that you might also consider "ALL" that is written on the topic. Starting with the witness of the very first Church of God under God's Prophesied New Priest.

Acts 5: 28 Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us. 29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. 30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. 31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. 32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, "whom God hath given" to them "that obey him".

This was confirmed by the Scriptural account of the first Church of God under authority of His Prophesied Priest, "After the Order of Melchizedek". These Faithful men, who had "Yielded themselves" to God, and their bodies as instruments of Righteousness unto God, (God's Righteousness of course) had observed the Feast of Unleavened bread, and had counted the Sabbaths correctly in order to be gathered on Pentecost, according to the Commandment of God. And these men most certainly received the Holy Spirit as Peter Witnessed. While the mainstream preachers of their time, who professed to know God, but who were teaching for doctrines the commandments of men, and not God, received not the Holy Spirit. It is confirmed again in Luke 1&2 where Zacharias, a faithful man who had "yielded himself" in obedience to God's Commandments, was blessed with the Spirit of God and therefore Knew Jesus, and exhibited the Faith of Jesus, even before HE was born. While the mainstream preachers of that time, with all their religious schools and great theological minds, full well rejected the Commandments of God, and didn't know the Christ, even after HE raised men from the dead right in front of them.

Caleb, Zacharias, Simeon and Anna, Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego and others, all received God's Spirit, just as Abraham did, "Because" they believed in God enough to become a "Doer" of His Commandments, not hearers only. As it is written, even satan knows Jesus is the Christ. But these men, who Honored God with more than their lips, were the blessed ones.

Paul taught this over and over.

Rom. 2: 13(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

But the mainstream preachers of this world never taught obedience to God, and still don't. They have their own righteousness, their own Judgments, their own high days and sabbaths. Both Jesus and Paul fought against and exposed the "leaven" promoted by the religions of the world of their times, just as I battle against the influences of the philosophies and traditions of men promoted by this world's religions in the world God placed me in. This battle can be seen in all of Paul's Epistles, in my view.

5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart "treasurest up unto thyself" wrath against the day of wrath and revelation "of the righteous judgment of God";

6 Who will render to every man "according to his deeds":

7 "To them" who by "patient continuance in well doing" seek for" glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

8 "But unto them" that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, "but obey unrighteousness", indignation and wrath,

This is why God gave His Holy Spirit to those in Acts who turned away from the mainstream preachers of that time, who promoted their own Laws, their own high days, their own righteousness, and followed instead, the instructions of Jesus to "Live By" God's Words, and then Paul, who taught the same to both Jew and Gentile " that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance."

Once a man accepts Jesus teaching about the mainstream preachers of His Time, who had and promoted "LAW", but not God's Law, Paul's words carry a different meaning.

Phil. 3:5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; 6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, (Of the Pharisees) "blameless".

In this worlds religions, they promote almost universally, that the Pharisees were trying to "earn Salvation" by being obedience to God's Commandments. This is probably one of the most insidious and deceitful lies promoted by the prince of this world. EVERY Word of Jesus, in which he defines the religious rulers of His Time, exposes this teaching as false. And yet this "leaven" persists and has grown though out the entire body just as Jesus warns. Consider Paul teaching in Philippians when the "Truth" about the Law of the Pharisees is accepted.

Phil. 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

9 And be found in him, not having "mine own righteousness", which is "of the law", (What LAW, the Commandments of men the Pharisees taught for Doctrines??) but that which is through the faith of Christ, (Who Humbled Himself in obedience to god, unto death) the righteousness which is of God by faith: (Shadrack had this Faith)

You and I have been taught since our youth, that Paul is speaking about the Laws of God here. But what does Paul himself teach about the Righteousness of the Pharisees and their "law"?

3 For they (Rebellious Jews) being "ignorant of God's righteousness", and going about to establish "their own righteousness", have "not submitted themselves" unto the righteousness of God.

Paul is saying here that he doesn't want to be found by Christ when HE returns, "having his own righteousness", which is of the Pharisees Law that he just told us he was "Zealous for". But the Righteousness which is of God, by belief in God, AKA "FAITH". That is, the Faith of Jesus, who being found in the fashion of a man, "Yielded Himself" a servant to Obey God, not the religious traditions and philosophies of man.

I hope you will consider.

We see below even the Apostles RECEIVED GRACE FOR OBEDIENCE to the faith. (THE COMMANDMENT OF THE EVERLASTING GOD, MADE KNOWN TO ALL FOR THE OBEDIENCE OF FAITH.)

Romans 1:5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

Romans 16:26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
