Hello @Say it aint so, before condemning anyone of anything,
1) the facts need to be established (for instance, is any of this, some of it, or all of it actually true, and if it is, even in part, who, of the reported 12 participants* in these 2900 pages of text messages**, said what) and
2) the truth needs to be established (by reading/understanding the quotes in context, so that what was truly meant by each of the offensive-sounding texts can be discerned .. as other CF members above have already mentioned).
These were my immediate thoughts when I heard the news about Jay Jones' recent texts (quite frankly, I still can't believe that he said what he did, but especially, that he meant what he said, however, since he has apologized and asked to be forgiven for making them, the fact that he both made them and meant them is old news now)
.
We'll have to wait and see, of course, but I hope that the facts and the truth bear out a very different story (from Jay Jones') with this new batch of text messages from this group of 12.

p.s. - the following is an excerpt from the Politico article (thanks for posting the link to the article for us, @Paulos23)
The 2,900 pages of chats**, shared among a dozen* millennial and Gen Z Republicans between early January and mid-August, chronicle their campaign to seize control of the national Young Republican organization on a hardline pro-Donald Trump platform. Many of the chat members already work inside government or party politics, and one serves as a state senator.
