  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I just finished reading this book.

I think every born again believer would be blessed to read it soon after their new birth experience, to help them to understand more fully the supernatural change that took place in them when they became a child of God.

I think this particular subject may have been taught more in 'the old days', but I question how often it's taught in churches today to new believers. And yet, it's vitally important for one to know and understand these things if they are truly desiring to live the victorious Christian life.

Excellent read.

Books by Watchman Nee and Lester Sumrall on the differences of the body, soul, and spirit are not even looked at today by most, and it's noticeable.

Those books, truth in line with Scripture, from above (gift of God),
were "enjoyed" by small multitudes decades ago;........ but
only like entertainment it seems. Instead of lives being changed, instead of Christians repenting of their obvious sins exposed by the messages, they bragged about enjoying this or that book, patted one another on the back, and continue sinning without interruption .

There's a reason why The Holy Spirit led me unto those books by the older generations, they were closer to GOD than generations nowadays. The older generations had a firmer grasp on truth because they were more dependent on GOD.

That's what the generations nowadays are missing. They are all over the place with their teaching and supposed prophesying, and 9 times out of 10 they are predictively wrong.
