I think I understand the basic concept. My immediate reaction is that these things can be very seasonal. There are times in our lives when we have space - time, energy, mental capacity - for more, and times when that's less true. (Work demands, parenting, marriage and extended family, all of that can change what we have to give to other things).

I think I find a lot of the same sort of benefit in different groups; a book group, or a community choir, or the like. The connection to other people (through a dynamic other than work) is really healthy for me.

None of that's particularly about gender roles, though. All of us - men and women - benefit from developing our gifts and skills.

That doesn’t mean they’re fornicating and I didn‘t get into that. Just because a woman is single doesn’t mean she‘s having relations. I was abstinent for years before I returned to the Lord and my tenure is extensive. Everyone isn’t ruled by their loins.

That’s certainly true but this isn’t relegated to single women alone and they’ve revisited the theme every year in different iterations. There’s a hunger for growth that keeps rearing its head. It isn’t the usual. They’re going all out and have done so for years.

None of that's particularly about gender roles, though. All of us - men and women - benefit from developing our gifts and skills.

Morning and evening routines, winter arcs, that girl, curriculums and related trends are predominately female.
