CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I commented on what Candidate Spanberger should do, you know, the video that was posted, as part of the topic. That you don't like my very presidential verbiage and prose is not my problem.

You have lost all moral standing to criticize Trump's locker room discussions if you are defending, dismissing, or excusing Jay Jones' comments. If that is honestly what you are doing, your opinion means nothing. Shame on you and anyone who thinks for one second that jokingly wishing the death of someone and their children is acceptable in any context.

We are done talking. I understand fully where you stand. You will support, defend, excuse, and dismiss threats of violence against not only political opponents, but their innocent children. You are obviously part of the 24% that so many liberals on these forums have so desperately tried to distance themselve from.
