  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Where is James Comey's mugshot?

There's differences that need to be noted...

Trump's mug shot was the result of charges (in which he turned himself in) in Fulton County Georgia under state/county prosecution which requires full booking procedures.

In the federal system, mug shots are rarely taken for white-collar or nonviolent defendants who self-surrender.

Comey was summoned to appear (but there was no warrant), as where Trump had a negotiated warrant for "self-surrender".

In Trump's case, they likely could've negotiated a "no mug shot publicly released" arrangement if they wanted to, but it seems like he wanted the mug-shot, given that it appeared that his merch website within a few hours. Which means they already had the monetization ready to go, they were just waiting on the jpeg to copy over to the /img folder

Lots of people
They can care about wanting to see a Comey mug shot...but given that there wasn't one taken, they'll have to rely on AI to make their memes.

Per my previous post, the federal system is different than Georgia state/county booking procedures.
(it's the same reason why Trump's other indictments in other non-Georgia jurisdictions didn't result in a publicly released mug shot)

I do. Comey lied to Congress.
Yup, he sure did
Make your case counselors.

A 2018 inspector general report concluded that Comey learned of the leak after the story was published, and that McCabe, in a meeting with Comey, was not initially forthcoming about being the one who permitted the disclosure to a Wall Street Journal reporter.

CONCLUSION
(U// The investigation (FBI) has not yielded sufficient evidence to criminally charge any person, including Comey or Richman, with making false statements or with the substantive offenses under investigation.
There is a reason why the had to fire the AG who found no reason to bring charges, and replaced him with an insurance lawyer who has no support from her subordinates in filing the indictment. She did it herself, errors and all.

It all comes down to whom you believe. McCabe or Comey?

Micheal Flynn, Roger Stone or Steve Bannon did not get mugshots after federal indictments
the Trump mugshot was not from a federal indictment.
As a separate issue don't see the point of someone like Trump getting a mugshot to reduce the chance of mistaken identity, simply not a possibility

The outcome of both reports is questionable statements by McCabe.
So I'm trying to figure out why that means a out and out statement of "Comey is lying" by you and another here?

Gee, that almost sounds like you're assuming Comey is guilty of something. Surely you remember that everyone here is innocent until proven guilty, right?

-- A2SG, except for Trump, who MAGA seems to believe is innocent even after being proven guilty.....

Comey said to the Senate that he didn't authorize any leaks. McCabe testified that Comey did. Therefore, who do you believe?

Comey said to the Senate that he didn't authorize any leaks. McCabe testified that Comey did. Therefore, who do you believe?
"Cruz then said that Andrew McCabe, who was Comey’s deputy director at the FBI, had admitted to leaking information to the Wall Street Journal in October 2016 and said that Comey was “directly aware of it” and “directly authorized it.” When Cruz said that Comey and McCabe could not both be telling the truth, Comey said: “I can only speak to my testimony. I stand by the testimony you summarized that I gave in May of 2017.
But Cruz was wrong when he claimed that McCabe had said Comey approved the leak. McCabe had already admitted that he – not Comey – authorized two other FBI officials to provide information about an investigation into the Clinton Foundation to the Wall Street Journal for an Oct. 30, 2016, story. A 2018 inspector general report concluded that Comey learned of the leak after the story was published, and that McCabe, in a meeting with Comey, was not initially forthcoming about being the one who permitted the disclosure to a Wall Street Journal reporter."
Again, given investigations I again don't see how you and others here come to the absolute claim Comey is lying. But listen, Trump got his optics bu this charge is going to get dismissed fast as you know what, and in the end it will be one more Trump lawyer being disbarred.
