Kimmel is Back

Just on Kimmels return. I never really watched him. I don't always get American humur though some of it is side splitting when I do get it. Like the Adam Sandler or Jim Carey comedy and some of SNL with Chevy Chase and all that ect.
But from what I have seen of Kimmel he always seemed too serious when telling the jokes. The body language didn't match the humor. Anyway that may have ben because I did not get the humor. But I sense theres more to this than just humor.
I am not sure people will believe him now. But its not just Kimmel. Its the general humor at the expense of others or spreading lies. Or just making comedy about politics. I have always thought that entertainers should stay right out of politics as far as letting their personal opinions influence their art.
If they are going to make fun then do it to both sides. Just joke about life and issues in general. Make a commentry on life as it is. Thats what comedy use to be about. Not injecting some poisonous political message that actually ends up not being funny lol.
I see these celebs like De Niro who I love as an actor and looked up to, their reputations and legacy and bank accounts go straight down the drain as soon as they open their mouths on political issues today. Stick to acting Bobby please.
And Snow White, Roger and Emma well lol. Roger what are you doing. You are the Floyd don't tarnish that for the many who grew up with your music lol.

But sadly these Left leanings ones learn little when they lies show them for who they are.
Johnny Carson was a famous late night talk show host in the US and he barely touched into politics and he said that it should be kept out of things.
A rock star Gene Simmons says celebrities should keep their "pie hole" shut about politics and just do their job.
So some get it, but sadly some of the Left leaning celebrities think it's ok to say whatever they want no matter how disgusting.

But don't force the dead head or Devo world on everyone. Its art and meant to be funny and music not politics or promoting ideology.

That has been the Trojan Horse for ideologues to sneek in their ideology into mainstream through mediums and not reality.

Not sure what you mean by saying not "forcing".....that's exactly what the Left leaning and their celebrities do all the time, so if it's good for them to do, there should be no issue with the opposite side doing so or atleast encouraging, since that would be just following the precedent the Left have laid.

I'm trying to think of a modern day version lol and I can't. Well actually I think there are too many now as just about every celeb is doing it that its almost morally wrong not to do it lol. Your not Woke or PC enough and you must virtue signal to be relevant and worthy in the eyes of society.

We have seen the fall of several celebs due to getting too political. Snow White and all the carry on is a good example I think lol. Emma and Harry Potter and J K Rowling is another. How politics destroys good entertainment.

Yes I agree. People are forcing an ideology onto others when they stood on the idea that everyone should be able to express their beliefs and views. They reneged on the contract. They are not practicing what they preached.

But I don't think the answer is that if one group is forcing their ideology onto others that others then force theirs back.

I think the idea that ideologies must be forced is itself the problem. It use to be that society allowed and accepted that there were groups who had different ideas and beliefs. But each would stay to themselves and create their own little world and associated with those who were like minded.

But then the ideologues that created this multi ideology world have reneged and now want to force one ideology over others.

But the best way to defeat any ideology is to use truth and reality. This belongs to no one but is just truth and reality or whatever you want to call it. The key is it is not a human ideological determinatio. But an independent truth of reality.

And sometimes that truth and reality is the truth and reality that no one should force anyone to go against their own beliefs or conscience. Which ironically is the same truth and reality we have come to know all along and what made us a free society in the first place. Its loving your neighbour and treating them how you want to be treated. Gods second greatest commandment.
