CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ah, inventing alternative history. When he was recovering from his stroke and being treated for depression the accusations of being unfit came from the republicans.

Whenever the dems take over from the republicans or vice versa, the next thing they do is what the other guy did when they were in office. MAGA is being weaponized, because things like social cancelling was being weaponized.
Until a majority of people see this and speak out against it, the atmosphere will continue getting worse.

An undocumented immigrant that doesn't qualify for Medicaid because of his undocumented status comes into a hospital emergency room. By federal law, the hospital must treat him.
Republicans recently changed the old law and the federal government no longer has to reimburse the hospitals for providing the are required by federal law.
Democrats want the feds to be required to reimburse the hospitals.
So, YES, the Democrats want the federal government to pay for some of the cost of emergency care of undocumented immigrants.
