It is possible that schism will result from this, since there are Anglicans (especially in the GAFCON-affiliated churches) who feel the way that Mr. Carlton does. There was schism in the American church when we elected a female Presiding Bishop. I hope there isn't, but we'll see. There can be tension between doing what one believes is right and compromising with those who disagree, and there's been a lot of that tension in the Anglican Communion over the last few decades.

I am not so interested in a particular denomination or group but Biblical truths. I am traditional Protestant but have assembled in several Anglican Church’s. But I certainly will not be stepping foot in another one, unless they repent of their wickedness. And I hope others who see their disobedience also leave this apostate church.

Bishop of Ebbsfleet - who leads the complimentarian parishes in the C of E - Statement on new AOC . Posting just in case anyone who is interested comes by here. I am glad he is expressing some respect and saying that he can talk to Sarah Mullally, that just seems better to me than a call to schism would.

No. I marked Dame Mullaly as the insider choice since she was elevated to the bishopric of London.

On this side of the pond, every Anglican sedevacantist has popped out of the woodwork to issue a written statement today. None of them were in communion with Canterbury anyway.

If they aren't in communion with Canterbury, why would they care? That's a little petty, imo.
