  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm using polling data. If you are one of the career bureaucrats obeying the will of your political bosses, even when you disagree with them, then I thank you, sir.
Polling data? This is your evidence of a deep state is some random questions? K. You have even less of a case then I thought.

2. If "their own ideology" is the oath they took to uphold the Constitution, then yeah. Emphatically, yeah.

If they were upholding their oath of office that's what they would say, that your upholding the oath, if it's outside the scope of the oath your being asked to uphold it's "your own" because it's something other than, the oath of office taken.

We aren't plucking people out of kindergarten to answer polls, they know English.

And no, we don't want anyone following their own ideology, we want them to uphold their oaths when we are talking about duty.

And part of that oath is not to commit treason, and it's not to decide your own ideology is more worthy than the will of the people.

It's government by, for and of the people, not a handful of Washington lifers and some corrupt politicians.

And the people, aren't planning on being told who we can and cannot vote for and what kind of policies we are allowed to have - when we voted for these policies and that politician. It's not upholding your oath to try and play tyrannical government.

That's what it took.

Sorry if I broke your belief in the Lone Ranger.
Having good government does NOT require people to break the laws by lying before Congress and perjuring themselves with Congressional testimony. I am sorry if you cannot see that.

They are admitting it themselves that they won't obey their political bosses if they disagree with their policies.

If so, who was telling them to lie to Congress? Who was telling them to break the law?
Please remind us of the lie that triggered this indictment, (my recollection is that Comey said he hadn’t ”authorized” a leak; I further recollect that Deputy Director Wray (at the time) copped to the leak.)
Then, that is a real problem of liars and immoral behavior which should not be acceptable.
Yet another reason why it is silly to attempt to foist religion into politics.
Doing so tends to corrupt both, eventually.

Oath-takers are assumed to be telling the truth when they swear (or affirm) to uphold it. Whatever other values or ideological imperatives they may profess isn’t germane so long as they uphold the Oath.
And no, we don't want anyone following their own ideology, we want them to uphold their oaths when we are talking about duty.

And part of that oath is not to commit treason, and it's not to decide your own ideology is more worthy than the will of the people.
I ain‘t ever had the sweet, sweet experience of holding a government job, but I know them what do and most of the horror stories from “work” don’t get anywhere near “treason”.
These are good, middle-class jobs…they’re more worried about the “refrigerator-thief” than accidentally giving aid and comfort to East Asia our “enemies”.

Using polling-data to suggest that our friends and neighbors (who work in Government) are sometimes looking for any chance to betray their homeland and (should be suspected of something), seems a wee bit paranoid, no?

These people are very limited in how they go about “doing their jobs”; policy/procedure is like 88% of government; “ideology” won’t stand a chance.

It's government by, for and of the people, not a handful of Washington lifers and some corrupt politicians.
On this we agree.

And the people, aren't planning on being told who we can and cannot vote for and what kind of policies we are allowed to have - when we voted for these policies and that politician. It's not upholding your oath to try and play tyrannical government.
The irony that this was posted in a thread about the FBI sending agents into a riot that was fomented by casting doubt on the voice of “we the people” circa 2020, was simply sublime, I thank you.

[EDIT: Is the bolded section a reference to the 22nd Amendment? TY]

The trial will most likely be just before the midterms…won’t that be fun!?

Via a poll? Are you kidding me with this claptrap?
You may deny the truth of what your fellow career bureaucrats have said. But, doing so won't change what they admitted.

I'm sorry if you don't know that had been happening since at least Andrew Jackson.

Let's see that poll then.
