  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Your memory is a bit fuzzy. He was talking to Dr Birx about it and he most definitely suggested a treatment of UV light and disinfectant could possibly help with the infection. It’s been 5 years and without looking it up I can say for certain no one has used UV light and disinfectant to treat or cure COVID-19.

Here’s the clip.

Watching it again, it’s amazing anyone still takes this man at all seriously.
Trump suggested nothing except for scientists to look into it.

What did the scientists find out? Was it what they and anyone with half a working brain already knew?

A fertility medicine doctor, Dr. Michelle Vu, also posted a video on TikTok of herself taking Tylenol, saying "my baby won't have autism," prompting criticism from some users on X. One user wrote: "This is a doctor, mind you! Are you kidding me? Why is she allowed to practice?! Disgusting."

Trump's statement has caused a major divide online, with some, including doctors, concerned about the impacts the announcement will have, while others have criticized the pregnant women.

As Tylenol helps to reduce fever in pregnancy, some have warned that advising women not to take the relief could result in "fetal neurological maldevelopment," as high fever during pregnancy has been linked to an increased risk of birth defects.

Although, as more and more videos appear to be circulating the internet, doctors have called for these women taking Tylenol just to "stick it to Trump" to stop.

Dr. Nicole Saphier, a Fox News contributor and radiologist, wrote in a post, which accumulated more than 1.5 million views, on X: "Don't weaponize your pregnancy for a political point."

Date:September 24, 2025Source:Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public HealthSummary:Researchers reviewing 46 studies found evidence linking prenatal acetaminophen (Tylenol) exposure with higher risks of autism and ADHD. The FDA has since urged caution, echoing scientists’ advice that the drug be used only at the lowest effective dose and shortest duration.

While genetics are central, environment also contributes. Factors before and during birth can influence autism risk. These include advanced parental age, complications during pregnancy, low birth weight, or prenatal exposure to certain toxins, medications, or infections. Importantly, these are risk factors—not direct causes.

If I were pregnant, I would use caution.
Proud scornful laughter just seems foolsh and unloving toward the child.

I would question the veracity of the imflammatory lamestream news media whose business practice is to increase sales.

The point is Trump says enough stuff that you can legitimately make fun of there's no need to make things up

That is not the point. What you said was not true.
What I said is Trump suggested it could be a possible treatment and that’s exactly what the video shows.

He asked if it could be possible. Get your facts straight and stop recycling the same old debunked misinformation. This is showing me that after so many years, liberals have learned nothing. And they wonder why the country has turned against them.

One pregnant woman according to the article , made a video and said Musk and Zuckerberg are autistic and it's working out for them so she's taking Tylenol and hoping her baby is autistic.
Wow. I’m speechless!

Perhaps pregnant women should ask their doctor and only their doctor on these matters? That sounds like a good plan to me.

This reminded me of a time when a friend stated, ”Anyone with a half a brain would know that”
I replied, ”you're probably right. Then again, they are half wits.”

That is not in reference to any persons here.

You said he suggested it. I assumed that you meant he suggested to the country that they should inject bleach. He didn't suggest it, he asked a question.
Feel free to make fun of him for that

Right. I said he suggested it could be a possible cure, not that he suggested people take bleach to treat Covid. His musings about possible treatments are what people found ridiculous.

Overview

While
it is highly likely that Tylenol posted on social media in 2018 as part of its ongoing marketing, recent search results focus on a viral 2017 tweet that resurfaced in late 2025. The original 2017 tweet and the recent attention it received make it difficult to find Tylenol's specific posting history from 2018.
Context for social media posts
In 2017, Tylenol's account on X (then known as Twitter) posted a reply to a user stating, "we actually don't recommend using any of our products while pregnant". This was not a public broadcast, but a reply to a specific user inquiry. It was not until 2025 that this post began circulating widely and being reposted by others.
Recent news reports from September 2025 indicate that Tylenol's parent company, Kenvue, has had to clarify the old post. They stated that the 2017 tweet was "incomplete" and did not represent its full guidance on the safe use of Tylenol, which it maintains is safe for pregnant women when used as directed. The company has also stated that it has not posted on X in over four years.

If he'd ask his question at the COVID taskforce meeting that occurred every day at the WH, not only would no one have known about the bizarre question, but it would have been a reasonable thing to do. Unfortunately, Mr. Trump did not put in the effort to know what the task force was doing and asked his silly manager question in a briefing for the public. (A public briefing that rarely needed the President to show up for, but you know.. trump's ego.)

I'm guessing, that she hasn't had to deal with someone , that's autistic. She see's how successful Musk and Zuckerberg and doesn't think autism is a bad thing.
