CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It wasn't a formal decree. It was a non-binding comment. Hence, the decision belongs to ABC, and ABC also thinks Kimmel should make a donation to Turning Point USA.

Trump openly admitted that he can't stand his opponent, unlike Kirk. There's nothing ironic about that admission to the truth.

I don't think so. The question doesn't offend me though, if that’s what the intention was. I'm a Catholic, so never really heard of Charlie Kirk until his assassination, though my 14 year old was a fan of his, which i didn't know until she discovered Kirk’s shocking death, and began telling me about him.
...But I can't judge his character because I never followed him. What I will judge, though, are those who take jabs at him, after his death, because I think that's tacky and plain trashy.

There's a big difference between Trump's exaggerations and the blatant lies that the left wing news media feeds society with.
One is virtually harmless, while the other is blatantly deceitful, which is purely evil.

Not sure what being Catholic has to do with knowing who Kirk was. You might want to track your kids internet usage a bit more closely...

Kirk was associated with right wing organizations like the New Apostolic Reformation which are distinctly anti-Catholic. Kirk didn't appear to be anti-Catholic himself, but watch out for whoever takes over Turning Point USA next.

I feel pretty fortunate in that they tend to make genuinely good choices, especially compared to many of mine at that age. If they're watching Charlie Kirk videos instead of listening to Eazy-E, I'd say they're in much better shape than I was.

Then I will also note that outright lies are now only 'exaggerations'. I will again assume that you're not being sarcastic. I guess that maybe the one of the ten commandments that references lying should now be: 'Don't exaggerate when talking about your neighbour'.
If someone knew that their neighbour lied but said 'Hey, he's just, you know, exaggerating now and then' could someone class that as bearing false witness? Not just refusing to acknowledge that fact but denying it? Let me know your views on that.

People have to look no further than the President of the US for the most influential motivator of hate within the MAGA movement.
It was so disgusting to hear Trump speak of hating his opponents, after listening to Charlie Kirk's wife forgive the assassin and condemn hate.
Trump has proven just how horrible of a human being that he is. I still pray for repentance. I wish that noone would walk into hell but Trump is paving his own path, unless Christians on the right start condemning his actions.

No Kimmel shouldn't have to make a donation, to a cause, that he doesn't believe in. He did nothing wrong. ABC and Disney freaked out over something they shouldn't have. Kimmel shouldn't have to lower his standards, by sucking up to a cause, that he doesn't believe in. Kimmel can make more money, on the the Internet.
