  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

“All of this, and Ilhan Omar tells us how to run America!"

She has a first amendment right.

"P.S. Wasn’t she the one that married her brother in order to gain Citizenship???"

This is a lie. Maybe he should get the Jimmy Kimmel treatment for openly lying about another public figure.

"What SCUM we have in our Country, telling us what to do, and how to do it.”

So much for civility and lowering the dehumanizing rhetoric.

Omar lived here in Minnesota for a number of years before graduating high school here in 2001. To get legally married you can do so in a civil ceremony or a religious ceremony where the authority presiding is legally authorized to marry a couple. I dug out a story from years ago:

The confusing part in the MPR article is "In 2002, Omar and Hirsi applied for a marriage license but never "finalized the application." In 2008, the couple split "in our faith tradition," according to her statement." Did she first marry in her "faith tradition" with someone not legally authorized to conduct a marriage?

And this might be a first. I am seriously considering reporting the OP for derailing his own thread in the third post.

Honestly, unless she had said enough or done enough to be legally ousted as an enemy of the United States (which is what I personally consider her) only the voting public can have her removed.

While it's frustrating to no end to see our foreign enemies have voice in any aspect of our governance or any aspect of our national policy and policy objectives, there are laws and rules and I'm not all for railroading people.

It shouldn't be as concerning that our nations enemies do what they do and say what they say (that's predictable) what's actually concerning is the amount of voters in America who think voting for an enemy of our nation and our people is the rational thing to do.

So from a public pulpit she will spit on our nation, our people, our way of life and our faith and she will act against us with every breath.

I'm thinking if so many voting Americans think it's awesome to do that, we have much bigger problems than just one individual.

This is one of most vile things I've read in a while.

One would think that at some point a person voted in as a United States Representative should be held to a standard. For the United States, not against it. If all she wants to do is tear down our institutions, then she isn't being productive, but working against progress.

The voters of her district get to hold her to any standard they like every two years.

What "standard" do you speak of?

Members of Congress take an oath...let's start there.

"I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter"

"Trump Calls For Ilhan Omar’s Removal From Congress"

Though I wish she wasn't elected in the first place...good.
Ilhan Omar, AOC, Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib and some others seem to be enemies of America.
They don't seem to like the country they live in and want to form it into a country of their own making.
Though no politician is perfect, I question the common sense of those who voted for these people.
Hopefully they'll wake up and vote them out sooner than later.

Is there a grievance with all women of color politicians? Or is there a grievance with a few who happen to to be women of color?

Ok, a good argument but which is more unconstitutional speaking of a murder she may agree on or actually killing suspects in internationally waters based on suspicions?
