The violent ones were mostly antifa. Not sure why Trump pardoned them.J6 was an EMBARRASSING attempt to influence and change the results of that election. They did SUCH a poor job of it that now their supporters are just saying "they weren't trying to".
“The people that went there to express their views, to support Trump, were peaceful,” said Richard Baum, 61, an independent voter from Odessa, Tex. “The government implants were the violent ones: the FBI, the police people that were put in there, the antifa and BLM hired by George Soros; everybody knows that.”
We have seen how the left is willing to take away the freedoms of others with violence. If you were protesting, you were part of Antifa. See how simple that was? See how easily we are willing to give away freedom?
Freedom to put bullets in the neck of political opponents?I'm more inclined to say "See how much the right desired to take away our freedom?"
I had no idea. A proper villain!
Probably not a hedge. More likely just how they really think things should be organized. From the looks of it, the way they operate seems to be not unlike the Hells Angels.
"we're a decentralized group of autonomous chapters" is usually just a legal hedge so that if one chapter does something really bad, the whole group doesn't go down with the ship.
Or "not organized" you mean...Probably not a hedge. More likely just how they really think things should be organized.
No, Rob is right. I worked for a criminal attorney who handled a big case involving the Bandidos MC. I learned a lot. They have written by-laws and such, but it's all intentionally and mysteriously decentralized.Probably not a hedge. More likely just how they really think things should be organized.
No. Because your experience leads you to learn the Bandidos operate like the Hells Angels (or other mafias) does not mean antifa does. Antifa is a protest org and not a mafia enterprise. The incentives and personality types are totally different. No, Rob is right. I worked for a criminal attorney who handled a big case involving the Bandidos MC. I learned a lot. They have written by-laws and such, but it's all intentionally and mysteriously decentralized.
Is antifa even an "organization"? Seems more like an ideology.
Views aren't the problem. Criminal activity is the problem. People can be antifa and anarchist all they want to. But when they start vandalizing and committing arsen etc to express those views, then they're committing acts of domestic terrorism."Terrorist organization" means you can start exerting law enforcement against them.
In the USA we dont do that just for holding ideological views, even bad ones. Well, we dont do that yet..... Are you suggesting we should?
Thats more my sense, even if there is some "formal" organization here and there.Antifa is a decentralized left-wing movement of autonomous groups and individuals.
When I looked up Antifa organizations I got:Thats more my sense, even if there is some "formal" organization here and there.
Yes I do believe there are orgs. I just dont think that they represent most of the people who consider themselves antifa. When I looked up Antifa organizations I got:
- Rose City Antifa: Formed in Portland, Oregon, in 2007, it is considered one of the oldest U.S. groups to use the name "antifa".
- Anti-Racist Action (ARA): A network of anti-fascist activists in the U.S. that was active between the 1980s and 2013.
- Torch Antifa Network: Formed in 2013 by some of the more radical chapters of the Anti-Racist Action network.
- NYC Antifa: A local chapter operating in New York City.
- Puget Sound John Brown Gun Club: This group, active in the Seattle area, was described as an "anti-fascist, anti-racist, pro-worker community defense organization".
- Anti-Fascist Action (AFA): A militant anti-fascist group that originated in the UK in the 1980s.
