  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Trump to designate antifa a 'major terrorist organization'

Other than street crawls with ANTIFA, can you provide any examples of the Proud Boys attacking political figures?
The Proud Boys were directly involved in the January 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol attack, which was an attack on our entire political process and our nation. While no political figures were injured or killed, they likely would have been if they had succeeded in their plans.

There was no attack. Theres literal footage of people being let in peacefully with the doors being unlocked and opened for them. People need to stop calling it an "attack".

If you have not seen them breaking windows doors and in other ways using violence to hurt police and enter the capitol, you are not informed enough to have an opinion on this topic that deserves to be taken seriously.

And how many were arrested for breaking windows? 2. That's it... 2 people. You seriously going to classify it as an attack when TWO people were arrested for breaking windows? Come on....

ANTIFA hasnt been out in force in a while. They show up here or there but it's not like they used to be. So to classify them now, seems like it's just a show to make it look like Trump is trying to clean up America. But when you have active politicians inciting violence and nothing is ever done about it other than wagging a finger and verbally saying you're against it, our nation wont ever be cleaned up. Trump needs to focus on politicians first, then worry about civilians.
Perhaps the democratic party should be declared a major terrorist organisation. After all, their inciteful rhetoric directly caused the death of Charlie Kirk.

Only two arrests? Who were the 1500 people Trump pardoned at the start of his term?

You’re being evasive.
I replied to the quote about breaking windows, so my response was about breaking windows, thats not being evasive, thats replying to a specific claim about breaking windows. But okay.

I'm not going to repeat myself because you choose not to fully defend your position.

Dozens of Proud Boys were charged and found guilty of assaulting law enforcement, destruction of government property, and theft of government property, among other things. Many others not belonging to the Proud Boys were also charged with these offenses.

You said there was no attack. That’s a lie. Now you only want to focus on broken windows.

In order to say something was an attack, you have to say that a bunch of people were involved in said attack which is what the main focus is. So for instance, calling January 6th an insurrection. Would you classify it and label it that way if lets say, only 3 dozen people were involved? You would just say 3 dozen weirdo's committed a bunch of crime, but you wouldn't make it out to be that people tried to overthrow the government and there for, label it as an attack on the capital.

So let's take proud boys.... 5 people were convicted of felonies, a 6th person was acquitted and 3 people were convicted of various crimes like conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, and 2 assaults on on a police officer with pepper spray. That's a grand total of convictions of 8 people.

2 People were convicted of breaking windows.

Now, the vast majority of regular convictions were misdemeanors like trespassing and disorderly conduct.

How is that an insurrection??? Wouldn't the majority of people be charged with felonies??? That makes literally ZERO sense.

This is getting further off topic but you said it wasn’t an attack, not that it’s not an insurrection.

I addressed this in the first sentence. It's not an "attack" if the majority of the people weren't even involved in "attacking". A very small minority convicted of attacking doesn't label the entire thing an "attack".

10/10 in the mental gymnastics category.

At the end of the day, the correct President is in office, terrorist organizations are being identified, the swamp is being drained, and America is being made Great Again.
