A Gentle Reminder: Even When No One Sees

I watched the video while having lunch and the message was timely. There’s a lot of things we do that no one sees and things we hold together no one commends. But our faithfulness is worthy of applause. And if you haven’t heard thank you or job well done as of late. Know that you’re seen and deserving nonetheless.

The idea that she claims to be doing it to glorify God absolutely spoils it for me. I would much rather that she do such things simply because they're kind and fulfilling. Not because they glorify some supposed God, but simply because they glorify life. Let me do good, simply because it's good.

Perhaps that’s what moves the needle for her. We each have different things that inspire us. I’m working through several boxes of tomatoes as we speak and I love it. But God isn’t my why and it’s a task I genuinely enjoy. That doesn’t mean there aren’t areas where I don’t require a nudge. I’m human after all and so are you.
