That's because fiction (which is false), to be accepted, must be acceptable, it must be what people want to see and hear, it must be familiar, it must be comfortable. Fiction must make sense to the mind of the audience. Truth is what it is, and it may be far outside what people are comfortable with or accustomed to.

That's not what truth is stranger than fiction means. It means a particular event is so bizarre or astounding, that it sounds made up but it's true.

In the case of many Charlie Kirk mini-debates with college students, they'd make a statement about something they didn't know enough about, and Charlie would take it apart with facts. So that's were truth would win out over malarky. The challenger would issue a fallacious statement, Charlie would take it apart with the truth, and the challenger would be left stammering or they'd issue a personal insult and walk away.

That and it was intentional but the shooter is a republican. Or since the shooter is white, therefore Kirk got shot by one of his own people. And then of course like with Trump's shooting, there are those claiming it was staged. That either a squib was used or it was a hologram or AI special effects. Oh and it was an inside job because Kirk's own people on stage were giving hand signals to the shooter, since one of them touched the brim of his baseball cap and another crossed his arms.

For a person to be blind to facts right in front of them is not exercising a personal opinion. It is a deficit in the the ability to analyze without personal bias. It is an establish fact Charlie was a great debater full of facts about the topics he engaged with. I also know the value of your opinion of Kirk’s debating skills. Maybe soccer commentary would be a better use of one’s time.
