  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

5 key findings from DOJ report on anti-Christian bias under Biden

They targeted crime. If Republicans or Democrats perpetrated those crimes, they prosecuted.
Show me the Antifa members who were punished for their crimes.

I agree but he is failing to help all of those Christians that he is deporting. Christianity is about showing love to those in need.

Then don't say that he is helping Christians.

Did you see what this thread was about? It's not about the separation of Church and state.
It’s not about Trump throwing illegals out of the country either, yet here we are.

Task force found 'consistent and systematic pattern of discrimination'

The U.S. Department of Justice issued a 48-page report earlier this week detailing an alleged "consistent and systematic pattern of discrimination" against Christians throughout the federal government under the Biden administration.

The report, assembled by the Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias that President Donald Trump established in February, was released the same day he addressed the second hearing of the White House Religious Liberty Commission at the Museum of the Bible in the nation's capital.

During his hour-long speech, Trump affirmed his administration's commitment to religious freedom, acknowledged the crucial role Christianity played in U.S. history and condemned his predecessor, Joe Biden, and his advisors as especially "mean."

Continued below.
The Christian Post has become a rag.

So the bias against Christians:
- They can't block people from entering abortion clinics, which also happen to be where women also get treatment for other gynecological conditions and routine care not involving abortions. They can't assault those women either.
- Liberty University got fined for lying "about the cost of its doctoral programs to attract students to enroll". Christians aren't suppose to lie, right? They also violated the "Clery Act, which requires universities receiving federal funding to report data of campus crime and report threats to students".
- "The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) under Biden threatened the federal funding of the St. Francis Health System in Oklahoma for displaying a prayer candle in its chapel in 2023, the report noted.
The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty and the law firm Yetter Coleman LLP fired off a letter to HHS officials that year after an independent commission demanded that the hospital system extinguish a candle that represents the presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist, citing potential safety concerns for patients with oxygen equipment."

They eventually allowed the candle due to backlash - but hopefully people are aware that open flames are not allowed in hospitals be ause of the fire risk, and because many patients are on oxygen . Smoking is also not allowed. It is a fire risk.

As to the candle representing the presence if Jesus Christ in the Eucharist - don't you think that Jesus doesn't need a candle in order to be present?

Well, hallelujah. After years of Christians being persecuted by the government, which, according to you is against the law, Christians are finally getting their rights back.
Christians weren't persecuted by the government. Very few were persecuted by local school boards. The government was protecting their rights by overturning policies which violated their right to pray.
It should never have been done in the first place and I’m supposed to be grateful that they had to win a court battle to get back what was against the law to be taken away.
You are supposed to be informed and not blame the innocent for what the guilty do.
Next do the bakers who, in their good Christian conscience, refuse to make cakes for what they consider violations to their beliefs and are being repeatedly sued by state and local governments and being fined hefty fines daily till they comply.
Thank the Federal government for overturning your state and local laws.

Trump is throwing out many immigrants that are protected by our laws. He doesn't care if they are children of God

Church and state. Isn’t that what the left cried when they chose to persecute Christians?

And God didn’t call the state to clothe and feed the poor, He called the church.

You forgot about the discrimination against Christian employees at HUD over posts on the website regarding celebrating Christian holidays while allowing leftist agenda posts, discrimination against the Little Sisters of the Poor to try to force them to do abortions, discrimination against churches that wanted to meet outside with mandated spacing during COVID whilst allowing up close and personal protests, denying military remembers the right to refuse the vaccine for religious reasons, OTHER people who protested at abortion clinics who DIDN’T block the entrance, excessive and unjustified fines on Christian schools that were way out of proportion to fines levied against non-Christian schools.

The Covid vaccine mandates were for public safety and unless those military officers could be isolated, they needed to get the vaccine.
Folks blocking the entrances to clinics were breaking the law.

And I question the rest of it.

I don't know. People claim the left has persecuted Christians but so far you've shown only false accusations.
And God didn’t call the state to clothe and feed the poor, He called the church.
The Church is the children of God and they are part of the state. In the US, the people are the government.

Wow. I would think that, as a Christian, one would be upset at the Constitutional violations the government takes against Christians.

Luckily, the courts are seeing them as the violations they are and are overturning them.

And as far as COVID is concerned, Fauci lied from day one, as anyone in the medical field could (and did) attest, and his mandates have been shown to be illegal. Quarantine is for the sick people and those with compromised immune systems, not for the healthy people, And luckily those mandates have been rejected. And the military officers affected could have been put on duties that didn’t put them in close proximity to others. There is no need to violate our rights as Christians.

I have only shown cases where governments violated our rights and freedoms, and action has had to be taken to have them restored.

No, quarantine is for exposed people. And Isolation is for any people who could be exposed. But covid has been debated to death on this site.

As a Christian, my rights were not violated by the previous administration. What I see is rights violated under this one. But that is not the topic.

So if your personal rights are not violated, everything is good.

No sense in responding, I won’t be listening.

State and local governments ARE governments. That’s why they are called governments. And they violated our rights as Christians, to which you even agreed was illegal a few posts back. So which is it?

Okay then the government fixed your problems. Thanks Joe.

Trump hasn't done anything other than release traitors and cop beaters.
He released people who were imprisoned unfairly for years for nothing more than misdemeanors while the leftists across the country released repeat violent offenders with no bail to repeatedly offend. And only those on the extreme left would call people who show up to an event to protest what they believe was an unfair election “traitors”, while calling the anarchists who destroyed cities across the nation “mostly peaceful”. I’m not sure you even know the definition of words anymore.
