The issue is that they are trying to regulate the people who do not need regulating for one thing. People who can be trusted with guns do not really need laws and people who cannot be trusted with guns do not care about laws.Drugs don't do anything to people unless they use it. I guess that means we shouldn't be regulating drugs.
Alcohol doesn't do anything to people on its own, just if it's abused. I guess that means we shouldn't limit access to alcohol.
Cars don't hurt anybody, it's the people who drive them that do. So by all means, let's drop requirements for driving a car.
Owning a nuclear weapon does nothing unless somebody uses it. I guess that all means we should get nuclear bombs.
Objects don't hurt people, people with objects do. So apparently that means we have no business regulating an object so all things should be legal and freely available to all people at all times.
