Why would God make sensible people fools? Seems an odd thing to do by a loving god?

I'm not sure where that quote comes from. Maybe the OP was thinking of 1 Corinthians 1:27 - "God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise"?

I was thinking of 1 Corinthians 3:19 due to the use of a personal pronoun. Some 'Catholic' translations use 'I' in that verse. But still the original poster is wrong about the sentence being in the Bible as far as I can see.
