None of those things seem to me to be "far left" in any meaningful way--they are culture war issues. I'm not exactly sure what "progressive" means any more, but those are issues of the educated liberal elite faction of the party, which is not "far left"

Personally I'd like to see Shapiro/Whitmer. That should pretty much clean up the swing states. No way Bashear wins Kentucky (remember Gore losing his home state of TN?)

Too soon to speculate. The real problem is policy. The Democrats haven't got a plan and until they do they can't pick a Presidential candidates--the liberal elite faction of the party haven't even figured out why they lost in 2024.
