Pastor Rick Joyner was given a series of dreams late in 1994 and early into 1995 that became the three books "The Final Quest," "The Call," and "The Torch and the Sword."

I consider these three books to be off the scale brilliant and can legitimately be compared with the writings of C. S. Lewis.

If he has one erroneous paragraph in those three books I am not intelligent enough to discern where that possible "fly in the ointment" might perhaps be.

What do you personally think about what he was shown about the State of the Bride of Messiah as of the year 1995?

I believe that he was absolutely accurate but I am speaking for myself because I personally was a mess in 1995 and if it were not for the mercy and kindness and gentleness of Messiah Yeshua - Jesus and The Holy Spirit I would probably have been dead before the year 2000.

Rick Joyner, The Final Quest.... "The Evil Army
I saw a demonic army so large that it stretched as far as I could see. It was separated into divisions, with each carrying a different banner. The foremost and most powerful divisions were Pride, Self righteousness, Respectability, Selfish Ambition, and Unrighteous Judgment, but the largest of all was Jealousy. The leader of this vast army was the Accuser of the Brethren himself. I knew that there were many more evil divisions beyond my scope of vision, but these were the vanguard of this terrible horde from hell that was now being released against the church.

The weapons carried by this horde had names on them: the swords were named Intimidation; the spears were named Treachery; and their arrows were named Accusations, Gossip, Slander and Faultfinding. Scouts and smaller companies of demons with such names as Rejection, Bitterness, Impatience, Un-forgiveness and Lust were sent in advance of this army to prepare for the main attack. I knew in my heart that the church had never faced anything like this before.

The main assignment of this army was to cause division. It was sent to attack every level of relationship-churches with each other, congregations with their pastors, husbands and wives, children and parents, and even children with each other. The scouts were sent to locate the openings in churches, families or individuals that rejection, bitterness, lust, etc., could exploit and make a larger breech for the divisions that were coming.

The most shocking part of this vision was that this horde was not riding on horses, but on Christians! Most of them were well-dressed, respectable, and had the appearance of being refined and educated. These were Christians who had opened themselves to the powers of darkness to such a degree that the enemy could use them and they would think that they were being used by God. The Accuser knows that a house divided cannot stand, and this army represented his ultimate attempt to bring such complete division to the church that she would completely fall from grace.

I don't know. I'm not familiar with the works of Rick Joyner or what the church was like back in 1995 as I was in a spiritual wilderness journey at the time.

The bride is the Kingdom to come as told in Rev. The church is truth from the Father. We are but guests invited as an afterthought at the wedding feast. We need to get over ourselves and quit following human rabbit trails.

In a way so was I but I had given my heart to Messiah Yeshua - Jesus back in 1975 or so.

I was a mess in spite of the fact that I had been a praying Christian for nearly twenty years.

True but no matter who we are there is some human who teaches us and gets us looking at deeper understanding of the scriptures.

The church remains a mess, this is not a bad thing.

Before God creating, everything was a disorganized mess. (formless and void)

Thank you for this encouragement. I think that you are absolutely correct because the best fellowship that I tend to have with other Christians is when I can tell them about one of my issues and problems that I have been wrestling with for years that they can identify with.

And the deeper some take us the further we get from God’s simple truth. It’s not complicated .

Referring to your first reply, I believe that we are vastly more than an afterthought.

Messiah Yeshua - Jesus went to hell for us and was scourged and crucified for us so this indicates that our ultimate role is beyond what we might tend to imagine at first.

[Near death experiencer Kevin Zadai Th. D.] : "Jesus shared with me about the time He spent in hell after dying on the cross. He said during the time He was cut off from the Father and the Holy Spirit, He experienced torment and punishment for everyone's sins so that we could escape the pain and punishment we deserve. no human being needs to go to hell because Jesus paid the debt created by all our sins.

He was extremely passionate when He talked about His anguish of separation from God. He said that He had to go deep within Himself to remember and rehearse His identity with the Father because circumstances were screaming the opposite.

ABANDONED BY GOD

Think about it: Jesus had never experienced a moment without the Father's presence until He was dying on the cross and uttered, "'Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?' that it, 'My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me?'" [Matthew 27:46] Satan thought he had defeated Jesus until He received the command from the Father to walk out of hell and take with Him the righteous dead. The Apostle Paul reported in the book of Ephesians, "When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men" [Ephesians 4:8-9]. In Revelation 1:18, Jesus said of Himself, "I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death."

The Father promised Jesus that by His following through with the salvation plan, God would unite humanity with Him in a plan for their redemption. Jesus expressed to me with great emotion, in a broken voice, the anguish He went through for us and His great longing that I share its importance with everyone who would listen:
"And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2L8-11."

But in order for us to approach an appropriate level of gratefulness and thankfulness we do have to recognize that Jesus had all of us in mind as he was going through the crucifixion and His time in hell.

Jesus bought His Bride and paid the price of Her freedom in full.

The Bride is all Christians who have accepted Jesus as their Saviour and are being led by the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8 ..... But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Rev 21: 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
The bride or the new Jerusalem, is not the people, the church but the Kingdom Jesus died to bring about.

What is a kingdom if not the people over whom a king reigns? Yes, I know it can also refer to the the actual reign or "kingship" of the king, but t wouldn't make sense to refer to that as a bride.

There is a saying that there are four parts to a kingdom:
1. the King
2. Territory
3 The laws of that kingdom
4. The people over whom the King reigns

[I used the word King with a capitol K due to the fact that we are speaking about the Kingdom of Jesus - Yeshua].

The text for that book is available here:

Here is the second part:

Yes the governance also. But the Kingdom is not us the invited guests, but the truth of the Father in action unlike among the kingdoms or actions of mankind in the world we have built in our own image. God reigns over all and is greater than the adversarial spirit of both elohim and mankind. This is what He defeats, that adversarial spirit. We are but disease carriers and even without us in the Kingdom His superiority reigns. We are secondary.

Isn't it enough that he calls Jesus the head and the church His body?

Isaiah is certainly helpful....

Isaiah 62:5
As a young man marries a young woman, so will your Builder marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you.

This is a theme that is all throughout scripture.....

Jeremiah 2:2
“Go and proclaim in the hearing of Jerusalem: “This is what the Lord says: “‘I remember the devotion of your youth, how as a bride you loved me and followed me through the wilderness, through a land not sown.

Matthew 9:15
Jesus answered, “How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them? The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.

Matthew 25 verse one....

“At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

Matthew 25:5
The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
And. I have not. seen the apostle Paul. call the Body of Christ. a Bride , and do you have a verse , please. ?

dan p
Why would Paul have to repeat a theme that is all throughout scripture?

Matthew 25:6
“At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’

Matthew 25:10
“But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.

Mark 2:20
But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and on that day they will fast.

John 3:29
The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete.

Does that mean you have never had a verse , RIGHT ? or wrong ?

Any one who reads 1 Cor 12:15 will see what makes up the. Body of Christ That we are his FEET.

verse 16 we are his EARS

VERSE 17. We are his EYES , we are His Hearing and His Sense of Smell

Which means we make up the Body of Christ , and NOT A BRIDE !!
