The thing about Vance is that he is not crazy and I think he would actually try to govern and stay within the Constitution; however, he would want to continue a lot, if not all, of the policies he co-ran on. What do you think he would keep and what do you think he would change should we get a premature change in regime?

I think he would continue immigration policies but not the tariff foolishness.

I think I just threw up in my mouth a bit.

Considering he’s done a complete 180 on his views of Trump from back when he was a Senator, I don’t think I really know what Vance actually stands for. He would certainly be just as bad policy wise and would even be more effective than Trump in passing legislation but I also feel he doesn’t really have the charisma to sweep an election like Trump does.

Then there’s the fact Trump himself has said he doesn’t see Vance as a successor so who knows. I’m more anticipating a third term attempt than a Vance presidency.

Trump cannot legally run for a third term, and frankly even if he COULD I feel he may not get it not just because people do not like him, but because by then he will be better than four score and so people may say you know what just for health reasons he des not need a third term.

I don't think we're talking about the 2028 election, but an earlier start. (Vance has no charisma and no following. He'd likely be a bad national candidate anyway.

The law and what it says has never been an impediment to Trump and what he wants.

I’m torn because I both want and don’t want that to happen.

I suspect companies such as Palantir would have even a bigger role in a Vance Administration. After all, Vance woud not be where he is today were it not for Peter Thiel.

Vance doesn't have what psychologists call the halo effect. He does not have personal magnetism. Obama had the halo effect. Trump seems to have what I can only define as the busted halo effect. He would be easier to defeat but his policies would be as heartless, cruel and immoral.

lol, what on earth would make you think he'd want to "stay within the constitution"? He's at least as Machiavellian and authoritarian as Trump, and a lot smarter and more disciplined.

The Democratic Party politicians are certainly hoping that you are correct.

I figured vance had more tact than Trump, but he was sure mean towards Zelensky. So like some others he seems pretty much of a race.Rubio seems to be the best alternate.

Still, we are not even sure if Trump will be successful this term. Don't forget tariffs are associated with some bad economic times. We are only in the second inning and the score changes daily.

I'm hoping that Musk could finance a third party run in a couple of states. Why just a couple? Because even a single win could throw the election to the House. A nationwide model for a 3rd party has failed but concentrating on a couple of key states in hopes to avoid a majority victory has never really been tried. With the right candidate, I think it could make a big impact.

If i had to predict, I think that Trump's second term honeymoon is about over. Wars, an economic quagmire and this never ending battle on illegals is going to take its toil. The GOP will likely lose the House in 2026 and then it will be pretty much a lame duck Presidency with the exception being putting out one fire (crisis) after another. What an exhausting 4 years. May Jesus return soon.

Is that starting again? How did that work out last time?
What do you mean "last time"? Trump's an old guy with health problems, why should we expect him to survive this term?
Sort of like Kamala
No, she has some. At least as much as Biden. Not at the Trump/Obama/B.Clinton level, but certainly not as low as Vance. Vance makes H. Clinton look charismatic. Did you see him ordering doughnuts?
