I was talking about that communist mayoral candidate.
The reference to the idea being "so popular" was only about it being popular with one person?

When the Pharisees learned that the Sadducees could not argue with Jesus’ answers to them, the Pharisees met together. One Pharisee, who was an expert on the law of Moses, asked Jesus this question to test him: “Teacher, which command in the law is the most important?” Jesus answered, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and most important command. Is detaining tens of thousands of illegal immigrants in inhumane conditions loving your God with all your heart? Only you can answer that.
IMO this is a misuse of scripture to try and justify lawlessness from open borders. The entry of gang members, murders, drug dealers, human traffickers, and rapist is not part of Gods plan for the US. How many of theses inhuman criminals are you willing to take in your home? This administration is every bit as humane as previous administrations and actually even more so.

The large favorable response in NY to this communist does qualify as being “so popular “.

We are to love our fellow human beings. That is the commandment of Christ.
I support enforcement, but in a human way in line with the espoused values of our country and our faith.

The entry of gang members, murders, drug dealers, human traffickers, and rapist is not part of Gods plan for the US.

A very small minority fit that category. Stop repeating Steven Miller's lies.

How many of theses inhuman criminals are you willing to take in your home?

We would host an immigrant who is here legally i.e .waiting for their hearing, etc. As it is, my Latina wife wonders when she will be questioned by authorities based soley on her appearance.

This administration is every bit as humane as previous administrations and actually even more so.

Oh right, by jaming people into facilities that are over capacity?

More than 56,000 immigrants were in government custody on June 15, exceeding the current capacity of 41,000.
“These are the worst conditions I have seen in my 20-year career,” said Paul Chavez, litigation and advocacy director at Americans for Immigrant Justice in Florida, which represents detainees. “Conditions were never great, but this is horrendous.”

Actually the majority being rounded up by ICE now are criminals. Some illegals with no other criminal records are caught with the criminals. Wrong place wrong time but they are still here illegally.

He's running for a city level office. Bit of a stretch to think he's going to change things at the national level.

We all know the electoral success of NYC mayors running for President: Rudy Guiliani, Bill DeBlasio, Michael Bloomberg, DeWitt Clinton, George McClellan (Jr), as we learned about their presidencies in HS.

Are you pro life and a supporter of marriage being between a man and a woman? That is scripture also - or is your faith fluid to your causes?

As for those who cry due diligence - let me inquire

During President Barack Obama’s administration (2009–2017), over 3 million people were formally deported from the United States. If you include voluntary returns—cases where individuals left the country without formal removal proceedings—the total number of departures exceeds 5 million.

Here’s a breakdown:
  • Formal removals: About 3.1 million individuals were officially expelled through legal orders
  • Returns: Additional 2+ million left voluntarily or withdrew their applications at the border

Interestingly, about 74% of these formal removals were “summary removals”, meaning they were carried out without a hearing before an immigration judge—through expedited processes like reinstatement of prior removal orders.

Also - he was the one with Biden - who built cages for children, who slept on concrete floors with thin blankets -

Did you consider that in line with espoused values of our country and faith?
A very small minority fit that category. Stop repeating Steven Miller's lies.

No lies - stop accusing the man - there are pages of who they are deporting and the reasons behind. Then also anyone here ILLEGALLY - is a criminal already
We would host an immigrant who is here legally i.e .waiting for their hearing, etc. As it is, my Latina wife wonders when she will be questioned by authorities based soley on her appearance.
Being questioned is not an issue - all you have to do is honestly answer the questions. If she is here legally she has nothing to fear.

Right - and they just opened another detention facility to alleviate the over population Alligator Alcatraz -

It's true conditions were not adequate during prior administrations. That pales in conparison to what is happening now. And it's intentional. Cruelty is the point.

Being questioned is not an issue - all you have to do is honestly answer the questions. If she is here legally she has nothing to fear.

Wrong. She could be detained based on her appearance alone. Once more, as an American citizen, she does not have to answer *any questions*. How easily you would have her give up a basic American right.

Right - and they just opened another detention facility to alleviate the over population Alligator Alcatraz -

Right, 40 BILLION dollars was just allocated Congress to imprison tens of thousands more. Alligator Alcatraz is just the start....

Irrelevant. NY the largest city has enough problems. They don’t need to compound them.

Hogwash - you complain that there is over crowding - then you find out it is why they built the detention facility and now you are complaining that there are going to be more.

OBAMA deported millions with ZERO court appearances and you are silent.

The good news is now that the Supreme Court has brought balance to lower courts - there will not be nationwide bans on deportations.

Nope. President Obama detained children only in circumstances where they were in danger. Trump 1 intentionally implemented a policy of family seperation. The Feds spent hundreds of thousand of dollars trying to re-unify those children under Biden.

Source? Not from media.

Steven Miller.

I don't care what you look like. Nor should ICE. Hopefully ICE doesn't come looking in your neighborhood for someone who "looks like you."

Hogwash - you complain that there is over crowding - then you find out it is why they built the detention facility and now you are complaining that there are going to be more.

Well yes, it is a hogwash policy and stupid. Under Trump, we the tax payers will pay to detain tens of thousands of workers - workers who are desperately needed in our economy. We lose their labor and tax revenues.

OBAMA deported millions with ZERO court appearances and you are silent.
There was a legal process. President Obama didn't snatch people off streets and have them on plans to El Salvador within 24 hours...without a chance for representation or to contest their arrest.

Very humane on the inside. I believe the hungry alligators are a deterrent. Don’t forget the snakes are there to. Less guards for the prison is a great cost saving idea don’t you think?
