The Gospel and Soul Health - Part 1: Introduction VOLUME 1: The Gospel of Union. VOLUME 2: Christian Fish in Greek Soup. VOLUME 3: Soul Health. Bruce Wauchope presents his "The Gospel and Soul Health". In this 2023 series of videos entitled “The Gospel and Soul Health, Bruce introduces the family of the Trinity, Dad, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, that will to quote Dr Kruger, "Astonish your Hearts, Blow your Minds" and "Create ignited conversation" and a deeper awareness of Christ in you. It is composed of 3 volumes with a total of 70 videos. VOLUME 1: The Gospel of Union ( Structured around John 14:20) Chapter 1: Jesus is in the Father Chapter 2: We are in Jesus Christ Chapter 3: Jesus Christ is in us. Chapter 4: In that day…. VOLUME 2: Christian Fish in Greek Soup. ( How we got into the modern confusion) VOLUME 3: Soul Health. ( How the soul heals) Chapter 1: Outline of Soul Healing Chapter 2: The Conscience Chapter 3: Other Internal Structures Chapter 4: The amygdala trauma and darkness In Volume 1, Chapter 1, comprising 8 videos, 8 Non-Negotiables are laid down that establish a hierarchy of thinking - a hermeneutic, based on Jesus Christ. For Bruce, these are Non-negotiable. The Gospel is to be experienced and lived, it is about "a person in you who you did not put there, but find there". We are called to let Christ love us and to love back. These videos provide a sequential introduction to this early church understanding. Healing flows from the person and message of Jesus Christ and this series outlines some of this flow. Most of the messages are 20 to 30 minutes in length, keeping it coming in short bites. Bruce's understanding is in sync with St. Athanasius, St. Cyril of Alexandria, and the work of T. F. Torrance, J. B. Torrance, and Dr C. Baxter Kruger.

and answers a lot of questions for me.
However, resonating with the NT is all that counts. . .and universal salvation does not resonate with Jesus in Jn 3:18:

"he who does not believe in the Son is condemned already."

So you watched it and you think that it doesn’t agree with the NT? Tell me the error in your opinion.

My disagreement is with universal salvation.

For starters, it is not Christian.

So you are judging something that you have not watched? If you are so sure why not watch it and tell me the error of what is said, it should be easy to point out the error that is not Christian.

I am judging universal salvation, which is Biblically erroneous.

Since universal salvation is not compatible with scripture then there is no reason to watch someone teaching error.

Why should someone waste time watching a video which teaches something that scripture very clearly does not teach?

Is there anything in the video which says how it can be possible that anyone who is cast into the lake of fire ends up being saved?

Revelation 20:15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

Actually the doctrine of ultimate restoration known as Apokatastasis goes way back to at least c. 150 AD in Christianity.

The problem is most of the western church has no idea of the teachings of the early church fathers, all they know is what the Catholic Church teaches and the reformation did not go back to the early church but kept most of the Catholic Church teachings.

I think one of the best analytical lectures regarding the whole thing is given by Bible teacher Steve Gregg, who's not a universalist.

This is the video that got me started down the road to Christian Universal Redemption, I was like most of the people on this forum, I love to debate and when I heard him talk about Universal Salvation I thought that would be fun to prove wrong this will be easy.
But I was not used to the amount of information that was available with the internet and the more I studied and read the early church fathers the more and more I was convinced that it was I that was wrong, now I see Gods plan all over in scripture and have never been so excited about the Gospel than any time in my life and I have been in the field of ministry most of my adult life and now at 65 I understand the whole of scripture better and see that God is more loving than I thought was possible. I could never go back to the old way of thinking.( but in reality it is the old way we are the ones who changed it)

I think it's something someone should familiarize themselves with if they're going to argue against UR. Unless they just want to shoot it down in an uninformed manner. Which seems to be the case more often than not. I'm not completely convinced of it myself. But I'll say it's all put me in the place of knowing God can be trusted to do what's right. One thing that stands out to me is in the Old Testament there's practically nothing about afterlife rewards or punishment. Yet people worshiped and feared God nonetheless.

One of the things this journey has done for me is to look at the Greek and see the definition of the Greek words and see that the translators may have had an agenda that came out in the definition of some words to fit their ideas. That’s why looking at how the church understood words for the Greek speakers is different from us who come from a Latin church.

I'm not sure that T.F. Torrance clearly and decisively counts for the 'universalist' position. I think that might need to be kept in mind as per the abstract for the following journal article,.

And Gnosticism goes ever farther. . .neither of which are Biblically true.

Unlike Gnosticism Apokatastasis was taught by church fathers such as Clement of Alexandria and Gregory of Nyssa.

Have you ever studied the scriptural evidence of it ? Or are you spouting off what someone else has said?
Understood in the light of all the NT, there is no Biblical presentation of universal salvation.

The difference is do you believe we are now at union with God because of Jesus or are we separated and need to get back on or by our own effort, did Jesus really concur sin and death for and in all his creation or did he just make it possible if we do the correct things because our will is stronger than Gods will to save his cosmos as stated in scripture. This video series shows how we are at union with God because of Jesus and that is all his creation not just those who can save themselves by having enough faith or say the correct prayer or believe the correct doctrine on how to get back to God.
