Why is it these officers are afforded greater protections then I as a regular government employee who has all my information made public? If you want to protect government employees protect us all equally and stop playing favorites.

Local police don’t hide their faces. Sheriffs don’t wear masks and CHP don’t either. It’s a part of building trust with the community you’re policing. People proud of the work they do don’t cover their faces. There’s also speculation that a lot of these aren’t actual ICE agents but instead bounty hunters being paid to apprehend people so ICE can make their quota. That’s why they’re driving normal unmarked cars, wearing masks and not producing a warrant or identifying themselves when making these arrests.

This is about people being illegally detained by masked, unidentifiable ICE agents, not protestors facing off against riot police. I saw the riot police of LAPD standing guard this past weekend at the protest in downtown LA and they all have their badge number proudly displayed on their vests. These ICE agents are rolling around in unmarked civilian vehicles, not producing a warrant when asked, covering their faces and acting like they don’t answer to anyone.

Surely some of you “small government conservatives” can see the problem here?
