Donald J. Trump
There you have MAGA in a nutshell.Ordinarily I'd suspect a fake, but he apparently hosts a right wing/libertarian Rumble broadcast.
I guess Reddit got onto him, and now he's having quite a day.

I believe after that "deal" tariffs are still up on UK products (though not nearly as high as last week) and some of the other elements (like meat imports) are getting "no, that's not actually going to happen" reactions to required changes in UK regulations from Mr. Starmer and his allies.hey he has the deal with the UK...that everyone is calling barley anything!
In other words, the "Liberation day tariffs" are gone, without any trade deal. The USA could not last for long without Chinese minerals and goods.US and China reach a deal to slash sky-high tariffs for now, with a 90-day pause
U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said the U.S. agreed to drop the 145% tax Trump imposed last month to 30%.
[China goes from 125% to 10% on US goods.]

Recall last month then Trump sat in the oval office and claimed China is reaching out to them.
China quickly responded that is just more Trump nonsense.
They said nothing will happen till Trump backed off the escalated tariffs rates.
This announcement is about backed up tariffs and talks.
In other words, exactly what China asked.
Like the UK "deal" before it, Trump is still imposing an arbitrary 10-30% import tax on American importers that was not there before this nonsense started.US and China reach a deal to slash sky-high tariffs for now, with a 90-day pause

I'm very curious as well. Did stores order enough extra stock so that this is a big nothingburger. Or will there be empty shelves for a week or two in some parts of the country.trouble is, will it be in time? It will take a month for new stock to arrive, some stores stocked up, but it's going to be a month with little trade at the ports that are currently empty right now.
If I were "negotiating" with Donald Trump I would take him for every penny he has and make him throw in his gaudy resort/house just for bonus. He should read that 1980s book on deals by Tony Schwartz. It begins to be almost unbelievable that, such economically strong country as the USA is, has been unable to get basically any relevant concession, so far. From any other country.
People dig their heels in if sufficiently threatened. It begins to be almost unbelievable that, such economically strong country as the USA is, has been unable to get basically any relevant concession, so far. From any other country.
Instead, the US is cancelling tariffs after one month (and the other ones were postponed much earlier, in days).
Why should an economically strong country need concessions? It begins to be almost unbelievable that, such economically strong country as the USA is, has been unable to get basically any relevant concession, so far. From any other country.
