Following that logic, many VP candidate are a DEI hired
Tim Waltz was Kamala's DEI hire. He was nominated so he could "code talk" with white men. Yes, Tim was Kamala's token white friend just like Biden was for Obama.

I agree everything you have said.

Similarly, JD Vence, Mike Penece, and Dick Cheney are all DEI hires.

When a white guy is running for president, how is adding another white guy to the ticket adding diversity, equity, and inclusion?

You have a point.

When two white guys run on a ticket , it is no longer Diversity and Inclusion, it is about "This has been our way for last 250 years, and we will continue regardless of others' opinions."

If Trump was black, would you vote for him? What if Vance was black, would it matter to you enough to vote for Trump?

I know that question was not for me, but in my voting lifetime, there have been seven black people who have been on the ballot for president, but I've only voted for one of them.

Skin color doesn't matter to me. However, After 250 years of exclusively white male Presidents and VPs, it is time to include people of color in the White House. Qualified individuals of color have been overlooked for too long in favor of maintaining civil harmony. Today, some view DEI policies as racist because they provide opportunities for competition among men and women of color. Racism still exists in society; it just takes different forms to hinder their progress.

We played that game here in North Carolina not long ago. The white Democrat won.

But a person using a veteran preference for a government job application is DEI.

I didn't know Barack Obama was white.

Is veteran's preference dependant on race? No. Furthermore, the point system was put in place to help veterans returning from war get jobs because they earned it.

And yet qualified white people have been let go from their government jobs because they checked a box. I'm glad that I didn't.

They earned freedom from the discrimination which often afflicts returning vets, not the job itself.

You do realize that veterans preference doesn't guarantee a job, right? All it does is put the veteran's resume towards the top of the stack to be considered first before the other applicants. Then, if two people are equally qualified and only one position is available, the vet gets hired.

That is absolutely not true. Show me an example where a federal employee was let go because they were white. However, with DEI, there are numerous examples of unqualified minorities getting the job because they checked a box.

It has never happened under DEI that an unqualified person was hired.

They always change the qualifications first.

Remember, white people include women.

I have never understood why white women are still classified as "minority."

That "minority owned" combined with "women owned" business exemption is really beneficial for government contracts with GSA.
