It is time to end ALL racist policies set by the federal government.
Would that include purging the libraries and museums of mentions od famous people of color?

Why do you think that Trump called Kamala Harris a "DEI hire?"
Vice President Harris was not hired; she was elected. First as California's Attorney General, then as a U.S. Senator, and ultimately by over 80 million Americans as Vice President of the United States. She also received more than 70 million votes from the American people in last election.

I'd call Harris a bona fide "DEI hire" as vice president, and a huge error on Biden's part.

Remember, we did not directly vote for Harris as vice-present. She was part of the package. Remember, Harris had been firmly rejected by Democrats as a presidential candidate...why would Democrats want her as the vice-president to an aged president who could have a stroke at any moment?

Biden selected Harris to fulfill his identity-politics promise to select a black woman--that specific thing is what makes her a "DEI hire." Even then, there were other black women he could have chosen besides the one that Democrats had already rejected. Biden sank the 2024 election right there and then.

Following that logic, many VP candidate are a DEI hired

What qualifications did VP Vance have before becoming a VP candidate? Senator Harris had much more experience than VP Vance.

If highlighting President Biden's commitment to nominate a Black woman for the DEI role, it is important to consider why there has not been a Black woman as President or Vice President in the first 240 years of American politics. This raises the question: does America not have a single Black woman who is qualified to be POTUS?

The same could be said about the GOP nomination in 2024. There were credible and qualified women of color in the GOP primary. However, instead of focusing on Nikki Haley’s qualifications, many Americans wondered if she was even eligible to run for president.

DEI is a pox upon our nation. It is a lie put into practice and its harming our society. It sounds good, but the devil comes like an angel of light. What is the problem you say?

The mission of education is supposed to be to bring about teaching kids about appreciation for our civilization, literacy, science, and math. I would clarify that appreciation for our civilization includes history and recognizing we are all different and our cultures are all different.

What DEI does is compromise those things.

It teaches that workforce education is not honorable. It lowers educational standards for professional schools which produces less qualified professionals.

It undermines good education by offering excuses for basic literacy and lower math standards.

It seeks social engineering in an effort to produce equal outcomes which is an impossible task due cultural differences and individual differences. It undermines freedom, individual rights and rule of law. It undermines societal harmony and trust.

It causes disunity and polarization. It demands control of thought and speech. It seeks to control as everything is brought under control of administrators who play with social engineering in order to meet some impossible lofty goal. It brings about an increasingly racialized, sexist society with edicts that impose handicaps and lower standards based upon skin color, sex, or identity rather than protecting individual rights including succeeding on our own merits.
DEI is an accusatory system of endless accusations and endless demands that tears down instead of building up. It breeds mistrust in each other instead of trust in each other. It creates disunity instead of unity.

All that DEI policy did was teach black kids that they can use their race as an excuse to avoid accountability. I also find this personally offensive because it implies that black children just don't know any better.

We should all strive to treat all humankind as equal. That's what DEI is.
So you then agree that having different standards for accountability and discipline based on race is racist and doesn't treat all humankind as equal.

This is well-written & recognizes some basic truths. The US can not continue to fight this civil war of trying to overcome the grievances of the last civil war. At the rate of partisanship in the people & politicians jockeying for position as to which group they seek favor from, it seems that the only way to hire for a position or for trying to admit a student to some favored institution is to go on qualities of merit other than phenotype. Americans must recognize that we are all tribes & since time memorial tribes have been in tension. To compel the process to work better, when a job is posted & some entity is looking for employees, we do in society play a lot of nonsense games, human resources should list some attributes of the position & scale how candidates rank on them. The job is about seeking a fit. It should not be based on nepotism or about 4.0. Employers must facilitate candidates to be themselves. You know the best candidates are basic John Q Publics that don't come from the Ivy league. Just look at the history of Washington all those cradled politicians from those schools are too narrow-minded & do not move the paper. Likewise a college should have exert a bit more probing of attributes beyond the gazillions of 4.0s applying. Maybe make the interview a req or some special project the candidate did or some life experience. They need to get their eyes off the wallets of potential alums down the road. Another compelling case to be made is the US does need to bring back jobs for all citizens so there is something to pick from. Searching for cheap labor-something that came in with NAFTA--has done more harm than good because so many good jobs have gone overseas.

Too often people are assumed to.be DEI just because they fit the description.
Ketanji Jackson Brown for example.
When her education, judicial experience, and credentials were evaluated against all other 8 judges, she was more qualified than any of them.
Yet people call her DEI when she was the best of the best.
But generally minorities and women have to be more qualified to achieve the same positions.
She couldn't even define what a woman is. How can she preside over issues regarding woman's rights if she doesn't even know what one is?

Fantine is incorrect. DEI is strictly about minorities. In fact where there is now a highly paid DEI position in some institution-that person is always a minority. And so that person will mainly be probing to find anything that contrasts with their ideology. It goes on phenotype only. We should recall that SCOTUS saw that we have come far enough to drop the affirmative action. We don't need 2.0. A lot of the burden for those applying for jobs or for a placement in a school should keep in mind that much depends on attitude & not aptitude.

No. DEI tries to reverse years of discrimination and unfairness.

I wonder if Trump is able to lead America without using Executive Orders.
I think he's at 130 in 3 months.
I think this only shows how ineffective and dysfunctional congress is right now. They can't even pass a budget.

I feel so sorry for those kids with such DEI policies--they have little chance to succeed.

I am sure many people went along with good intentions but it had just the opposite effect.

Yes. They graduate high school and find themselves in the real world with real consequences and completely unprepared. They end up using their race as an excuse to ignore rules and laws they believe to be unfair, only to play the victim and scream racism because they find themselves in jail. For these unfortunate children, nothing is ever their fault and whites are always to blame.
