It’s not, immigrants are vetted. There will always be illegal crossings though.

Two courts have found that he is a member of MS-13.
As I understand it he was under an order from a judge which said he couldn't be deported to El Salvador because of danger from a rival gang. He could have been deported to another country though.
So deporting him to El Salvador was wrong but I'm not sure how you correct it.
El Salvador says he's a citizen and they're not sending him back.

Back in the day Britain deported criminals. Initially to the US, but the citizens objected and they rebelled in 1776. So, Britain then deported criminals to Australia, as the Australian Aboriginals were in no position to rebel. Simply deporting criminals to a country and letting them loose there is not always appreciated by the locals. I initially assumed El Salvador was holding him for the $$$, but they may well be applying their own Due Process, before setting him lose in their community????

This is the hand of the man that the Democrats feel should be brought back to the United States, because he is such “a fine and innocent person.” They said he is not a member of MS-13, even though he’s got MS-13 tattooed onto his knuckles, and two Highly Respected Courts found that he was a member of MS-13, beat up his wife, etc. I was elected to take bad people out of the United States, among other things. I must be allowed to do my job. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
Like I said. They claim their is no evidence. They ask for evidence. Evidence is provided. They reject said evidence. They claim their is no evidence. And the cycle continues. This is why I stop wasting my time.

An interesting side effect of this case is the impact it's having on tourism, with a high percentage of potential tourists citing the possibility of being detained at the border and shipped to a third world country without trial.

So far estimates are that tourism income for the US will be down around $90 Billion this year, which, for context, is equivalent to the entire US federal education budget (presumably pre-DOGE idiocy). So even if 1/100th of that is due to this case, it's still cost the US almost $1 billion.

Sure hope you guys think it's worth it.

How successful a particular side is at achieving their ends has no bearing on the merits of the actual ideas.

For example:
If Joe tries to legalize spousal abuse, and fails
And Dave tries to legalize child abuse, and succeeds

That doesn't mean Dave's ideas were more "inherently destructive". Both ideas are equally terrible.

If anything, that just implies that "Joe was too dumb and disorganized to pull it off"

Yes. DOGE has been doing a wonderful job getting rid of the fraud, waste, and abuse. But I don't see how it is connected to the topic.

He can get his due process in El Salvador. If El Salvador wishes to release the wife beater back to the united states, Trump will send a C-17 to pick him up.

How is that relevant to the legal case in the US?
No US court, not even the Supreme Court can dictate what El Salvador must do. They say that he is a citizen and they are not deporting him the last I heard

It turns out the tattoos are marijuana, smile, cross, skull,
marijuana and smile for MS and the claim is that the cross is covering up the one and the skull is covering up the three. So it’s not conclusive

yes I get that, so it's just nonsense that it refers to ms13, as there is no way it would do so, as it would make no sense.
