Trump, Hegseth promise record $1 trillion Pentagon budget

President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth pledged a first ever $1 trillion defense budget proposal on Monday, a record sum for the military.

Hegseth went further in an X post on Monday evening, saying Trump “is rebuilding our military — and FAST.”

“COMING SOON: the first TRILLION dollar @DeptofDefense budget,” Hegseth posted from his personal account. “(PS: we intend to spend every taxpayer dollar wisely — on lethality and readiness).”
The number would be a significant increase from the $892 billion funding Congress allocated for national defense programs this year, which includes the Pentagon, nuclear weapons development and security programs at other agencies. It also comes as the armed services seeks to cut 8 percent of their individual budgets and reinvest the money in modernization efforts.

We should stop spending money on defense of other coutries, alliances, etc but yea, we sitill need more money for defense......

Right now, no they aren't. But after the small military base and several Trump Branded Ski Lodges and Resorts are built with the attached penguin and polar bear petting zoo / water park attached for the kids, look out! That's gonna be some prime real-estate.

And for Panama, people are saying that Trump is going to move the Pablo Escobar hippopotamus from Columbia to Panama and let them go in the Chagres River (that's where the canal gets it's water from) and hire a bunch of straight, non DEI, conservative former Disney Imagineers to design and real life Jungle Cruise, and increase the cost to a million dollars to go through with a stop at the Haunted Trump Manson and then invest any profits into a program that will help his underprivileged children.

Honestly, I have been starting to look forward to going to die in a glorious war for our glorious ruler and contribute to his legacy while his supporters sing praise from the safety of their trailer.

This is what I don't like about politics: the sensationism that politicians use to get us to gush over what they do. Maybe it all started with the media; now, everything is "breaking news" and sensational headlines.

I don't think it's possible to cut that much with everything going on in the world. We are spending billions shooting at the Houthis. But they are costing the world billions because of the trade disruptions.

Honestly, I have been starting to look forward to going to die in a glorious war for our glorious ruler and contribute to his legacy while his supporters sing praise from the safety of their trailer.

I thank you and all who are currently in service. In 2007, I begged my kids not to join the service because I didn't see an end to this War on Terror.

As a result, the American defense budget will likely continue to increase. This is exactly what many have been warning the MAGA supporters about: even if America spends more money than other NATO members, it does benefit America.
