I believe Biden placed them on "parole". And their parole term has expired.
It hasn't "expired" so much as it has been forcibly terminated, and for no clear reason. But I don't see what that has to do with your comments about illegality.

That article came from Agence France-Presse (AFP), which being based in the EU, would use the British English definition of the word "scheme." The use of the term "scheme" in that article wasn't meant to be taken in a way that President Biden did something he shouldn't have or that he did anything wrong.

scheme

1. countable noun:

A scheme is a plan or arrangement involving many people which is made by a government or other organization.
[mainly British]

...schemes to help combat unemployment.
...a private pension scheme.
The company was pouring around $30 million into the scheme.

Synonyms: plan, programme, strategy, system.

2. countable noun:

A scheme is someone's plan for achieving something.

...a quick money-making scheme to get us through the summer.
They would first have to work out some scheme for getting the treasure out.
Tourists can be vulnerable to scams and con schemes of all kinds.
In the USA “scheme” brings with it a slightly nefarious connotation.

That's the way it's used the majority of the time in my experience. Make plans, especially in a devious way or with intent to do something illegal or wrong. As opposed to a large-scale systematic plan or arrangement for attaining a particular object or putting a particular idea into effect.

On its own, yes, but the intended meaning was pretty clear in the context of the article.

Why, the “crime” of being born in the incorrect nations. Obviously.
Or maybe it's just simply that their status is no longer valid.

You know, there are other possibilities than RACIST RACIST RACIST!

If the only reason why their status is no longer valid is that the president decreed it so, one must wonder what the reason for that decree was.

If only all people in central and south america where white anglos, then they could illegally pour across the border by the billions and it wouldn't matter. As a matter of fact white foreigners are exempt from immigration law. All of the white people in Canada could cross the border into the US and it would be no issue whatsoever.

I don't know. That's why I've been asking.
Well any reason anyone gives is pure speculation. You are asking the wrong people. You should ask the adminstration for the reason. At least then you'd have something.

Depending on the immigration status of these people they may not need a reason. What were the steps these people were supposed to do once they got here? Did they do them? Are any if them on any public assistance? Do they have jobs? Have any committed any crimes since they've been here? What their official status? I have questions.

That helps. So its was temporary. If so then Trump is well within his right to revoke the status. According to the parol document parol may be revoked at any time.

Parole ends when the parole period expires, the parolee leaves the United States or is admitted in a lawful immigration status, or if DHS decides to terminate parole.

If DHS decides to terminate it then its terminated.

He's terminating legal immigrants. That's that means, that when he's done with his wife and Musk. He will terminate their citizenship.
They are not technically legal immigrants. They are on parol status. And that status us only temporary and may be revoked at any time.
