  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Do you have any Interesting stories to tell ?

This is suppose to be a true story in the annuals of history and an extraordinary coincident.

On December 5th, 1665, a shipwrecked in the Menai Strait: There was only one survivor. His name was Hugh Williams…

On Dec 5th, 1785, a boat wrecked on the Isle of Man, in the Menai Strait: There was only one survivor. His name was Hugh Williams…

And in 1820, a third vessel sank in the Menai Strait: There was only one survivor. His name was Hugh Williams…

Finally, on August 19th, 1889, a coal barge sank in the Menai Strait. This time, there were two survivors.

One was named…Hugh Williams.

The other survivor was his nephew, who happened to be named…

Yes, Hugh Williams…

Is this just a coincident. Some say the name was very popular during this time which may have increased the chance of this happening. Others suggest some sort of reincarnation of the same sole survivor coming back. Either way its fasinating.

Intressting, I believe in the reincarnation of the soul, if not for all then for some.

My faith says nothing just happens, it goes so far to say that believing coincedence is the hallmark of evil.

Though some put it a little more mild in saying it is the hallmark of irresponsibility.

I have not reflected on names having anything to do with it.

Example, Hillel was known for his profound knowledge and extraordinary patience,

like Moses he was known for his humility and like Moses, he lived one hundred and twenty years.

According to kabbalistic tradition he and Moses shared the same soul.

There is much that alludes to it in Tanakh and I suspect NT also,

even if the Catholic church agreed on banning the thought even, it would mean excommunication for anyone to be so bold.

Origenes is an example of how it can go for such a person.

There are things that are best kept under one´s hat.

I saw a documentary once on London dock workers, they kept their sandwiches under their hats,

to keep them safe from the rats.

I think there is some sort of consciousness where people can connect with knowledge which is not bound by time and space. In that sense I think someone can pickup on certain repeated behaviour subconsciously. Like the families of the name of Hugh Williams may be all attuned to sea travel in some way. Or had a history of being in the right place at the right time.

So not so much an entire person reincarnating but rather bits of information or knowledge or experience is out there in whatever realm consciousness exists and it can be picked up on subconsciously or through intuition or something like that.

Thomas Edison said that his inventions were not from him. Or at least the original idea that was outside the limits of what was known. He said it came from the universe. Like a thought or idea that popped ino his head completely outside the parameters of what was possible. I believe there is this prevading consciousness that holds these ideas and even experiences that can be passed on or picked up on.

Except I think its more than just statistical coincidence and that subcoinsciously people follow certain patterns that may be something that is projected from the society or nation wide and left its imprint in the conscious realm that people come to intuit and follow.

Also stuff like dejavu, remote viewing and the many conicidences where I think at least some if not many are not conincidence. I believe God works this way when we see pray answered or seem to be in the right place at the right time. Something is going on behind the scenes. The only conscern would be if this is spiritual and this can demonic and you can be fooled.

Sounds like you are groping around in the dark, you need to turn on the light,

as is written, "In Your light do we see light."

That is all I will say on the subject, a forum is not a place to study.

What I am about to tell you was told to me, and is as best as I can remember. It happened well over a century ago, in a rural area in the hills or mountains of the southeastern US, and started with a funeral.

An elderly man in a rural community passed away, and when they family returned from the funeral, they found his chair rocking. The door was closed and no one was in the room. From that point on, when no one was in the room, the chair would rock. Open the door, and no one would be there.

It became almost a local attraction. Investigators would sprinkle flour around the chair, and inspect it when it rocked, and there would be no tracks or marks in the flour. It even attracted the interest of reporters, who came and observed.

Now, a great uncle was said to be a rough man, who boasted he feared neither the living nor the dead. I think he may have thought someone was trying to scare the widow and he intended to put a permanent stop to it. He ended up spending a night shut in the room, with a reporter in the house. Everything was removed except the chair. They may or may not have sprinkled flour around around it. I think he sat on the floor in a corner of the room.

At some point during the night he dropped off to sleep, When he awoke, by the light of the coals glowing on the hearth, he could see the chair rocking.

He got up and slowly went to the chair. Nothing was there. He put his hand on the seat of the chair. It felt warm but the doors and the shutters were closed.

He looked about the room, and no one else was there. Then he happened to look up. As was common in that place and time, the room didn't have a ceiling. It had pole joists that spanned the log walls, with nothing but the rafters, lathes, and shingles above it. Hanging down from a pole joist was a short ropelike object.

He grabbed it and yanked.

Immediately there was a terrible scream. Something jumped on him and clawed his face. He fought it and slung it to the floor just as the others in the house opened the door, and by lamp light they saw the thing streak out of the room.

It was the old man's cat. He liked to sit in the old man's lap when he rocked. Apparently he would get in the chair, and when anyone came into the room, would leap straight up to the pole joist, setting the chair rocking. Then, while everyone was looking at the chair, he'd either exit the room or hide near where the rafters, joists, and logs met.

Now, my great uncle turned to the reporter and said "Guess you'll tell them (his readers) that it was a cat."

"I won't," said the reporter. "Everyone wants to read about a ghost. No one wants to read about an old cat."

And that was why it was passed along in family lore.

No, reincarnation can't be real.

No, reincarnation can't be real.

It seems some or many at the mention of reincarnation think of the body coming back to life,

that time will come with the ressurection, Daniel 12:2.

The reincarnation of the soul is what I am talking about.

Among other things it tends to answer the age-old, "Why do bad things happen to good people?"

Something else the soul on returning has no memory of earlier visits, that would be giving the game away.

Something that riles up skeptics is to hear that the reincarnation of the soul is a tenet in Judaism.

A soul can ascend and descend as many times as is needed.

OK, so here is a story well there are thousands of stories.

A small town with a townhall and clock tower.

Every morning when the townfolk left their house to go to their place of work,

they would look up at the clock high up and check their clocks and watches, and adjust them if need be.

Time went by and they did not give it much thought.

There came however a new comer, he did not take too ki
ndly to the custom,

so he suggested replacing the clock lower down at eye-level, that way each person could set the clock according to their own watch or clock.

Brilliant! cried the townfolk, why have we never thought of that before.

And so it was, but in the small town life would never be the same.

The townhall clock represented the Word of God and moving the clock down it lost it´s influence.

A burglar broke into a house one night. He shined his flashlight around, looking for valuables when a voice in the dark said, ‘Jesus knows you’re here.’ He nearly jumped out of his skin, clicked his flashlight off, and froze. When he heard nothing more, after a bit, he shook his head and continued. Just as he pulled the stereo out so he could disconnect the wires, clear as a bell he heard a voice....say, ‘Jesus is watching you.’ Freaked out, he shined his light around frantically, looking for the source of the voice. Finally, in the corner of the room, his flashlight beam came to rest on a parrot. ‘Did you say that?’ he hissed at the parrot. ‘Yep’, the parrot confessed, then squawked, ‘I’m just trying to warn you that he is watching you.’ The burglar relaxed. ‘Warn me, huh? Who in the world are you?’

‘I'm Moses.’ replied the bird. ‘Moses?’ the burglar laughed. ‘What kind of people would name a bird Moses?’

‘The same kind of people that would name their Rottweiler Jesus.’

I had adopted her but she refused to come away with me. It was weird because dogs can't wait to leave the kennel. She was crying and stubbing her paws. I should have dragged her. But when I looked down I understood the reason and had to make a CHOICE "When the time came to take her home she was just out of that cage, from that moment a new world awaited her, a wonderful life and a lot of love. Any other dog would have run into the embrace of her rescuers. But she did not. She stood still, sticking to all fours and refusing to leave the cage. In a corner, a small Chihuahua Taco looked at her in fear. She understood that she was about to lose her best friend. And in that moment a small miracle happened. The couple saw the whole scene and decided to adopt them both. They also did the documents for the chihuahua and all 4 went out the shelter's door. was taken in the car, before leaving. I would like to wish these two dogs a happy life full of love !. But above all so much happiness also to these two wonderful people ❤️

Lovely story. You love animals very much.
I'm wondering can you guess where is the 'Land of storytellers' which I mentioned in my last post??

Yes I do very much & I have no idea where the land of storytellers is but I'd love to know.

Apparently in the book of Baruch 4 there is a story of time travel.

Although the book of Baruch is not in the Hebrew Bible, it is found in the Septuagint, in the Eritrean/Ethiopian Orthodox Bible, and also in Theodotion's Greek version. In 80-book Protestant Bibles, the Book of Baruch is a part of the Biblical apocrypha.

Whether it be your own or something you have read.

I have one that I've just read;

main-qimg-8a805ba52dbcdff1d5e09775e27a327d

A man passed away and left his dog to his son. The son was surprised when he found out the dog had disappeared. A few days later, the cemetery called him and told him that a dog had been digging on his father's grave. The son went to the cemetery and took the dog back. The next day, the dog escaped again and went to the cemetery. This happened three times, until the son finally decided to leave the dog there. He put food out for the dog, but it didn't eat. The dog became angry and wouldn’t let anyone come near the grave. The dog stayed there for a week, guarding the grave, until he passed away, lying on his owner's grave.

This story shows how animals can be more loyal than humans. ❤
Oh man, that is a heartbreaking story and photo if true. I am skeptical about the story, though.

I have read that when an owner pass away cats will typically start eating the dead owner for nourishment within 25 hours. Dogs will usually wait a week until severe starvation occurs before taking a bite of their former owner.

There is nowhere He is not.

"Shall He who implants the ear not hear?"

"Shall He who forms the eye not see?"

Psalms 94 .

A stranger came to town searching for God,

he stopped a man on the street and said, "I will give you one gold coin if you can tell me where I can find God."

The resident told him, "I will give you two gold coins if you can tell me where He is not."
