That is all well and good, but it still leaves us with people who are overreacting. I have no stats to back this up but I'm guessing the heated rhetoric has some culpability.
Most people just don't want people with male genitalia in women's spaces.
At the hospital where I was head of security the women who worked there didn't want a cross dresser in the ladies rooms and they were all single occupancy.
People feel strongly about this.

Exactly! It’s about how comfortable and the privacy of women’s and girls.

NOT discrimination or hate.

Simple.

Because men don’t belong in women’s restrooms, regardless.
And this is your top priority because?
a) You are a sticker for rules
b) Right wing media attention is on Trans issues
c) you believe fixing this issue will make a big difference in general women's safety?

There was a time in USA history that most people didn't want black people in white people's spaces.
Aren't you glad USA grew up and got rid of that one.

Sometimes ruling by majority isn't the way to go.

I had to tell Gary that he couldn't use the ladies bathroom.
Should I have told the other 500 people that they were wrong and let Gary use the ladies room?
I don't think so

That's completely different.
I can't identify as a black person

Completely different, other than a type of person was being excluded from certain spaces that were appropriate for what that person was wanting to do. e.g. Toilet.

I think we can agree
1) toilets are essential
2) people aren't naked in the common areas in the female bathroom
3) generally a transwoman in the female toilet is just going to the toilet, and is not endangering others nor exposing themselves nor perving.
4) wherever you get people, there is a chance that a person might commit an assault
5) trans women aren't any more dangerous than cis women

6.) If they expose their genitalia in the ladies room it's indecent exposure

Sure, if a woman or trans woman goes around exposing themselves unnecessarily in the women's bathroom then there is a problem.

Has this been happening?

I once went to a Grateful Dead concert, and when the lights went down the women came into the men's room, such was a trough situation for the men. Everybody made it out alive.

That wouldn't bother me

Well, he was convicted of it, but not the woman in the Tucson restroom.
It was a civil trial. It's not a conviction
A civil judgement results from a civil lawsuit and orders a party to pay damages or take specific actions, while a criminal conviction is a finding of guilt in a criminal case, potentially leading to penalties like fines or imprisonment.
