I have nothing much to say about this particular incident. It is more a manifestation of what happens in a society when enough people lose their bearings on something so basic as the difference between male and female. We can expect many more such incidents unless what Mick Dundee understood clearly takes hold again in American society. And that is not likely to happen until American returns to God and to righteousness as given by scripture.

In this case they are being told that men are dressing as women to enter restrooms and creep on them. Transpeople are a small percentage (below 1%) of people. This is the same thing that happened with panics about backward masking of satanic messages in music, repressed memories about abuse, etc. as there were previous panics in earlier centuries about witches, zombies, and vampires.

Many reasons.

1: Dressing manly (not putting on makeup, short hair, jeans and shirt) is comfortable, low-maintenance and cheap. When your social circle accepts it, why not do it?
2: It's a subculture thing. Just like some subcultures shave their heads, wear specific band attire or head gear, "Butch" lesbians dress a certain way to signal that they are part of that subculture.
3: During a time when lesbians had to fear violence from homophobic people on a much more prevalent basis, some of them dressed and trained to be physically strong, imposing and able to defend themselves and others.
4: It's a way to dodge unwanted attention by men, who they are not interested in.

As a man, I can totally understand those reasons, especially number 1. I once tried having long hair and got too annoyed with it, and putting on make-up and dressing up cuts into my video gaming time.

For a specific lesbian looking like a man, it might be a combination of those and other reasons. If you really want to understand them, you should listen to them.

Islam is not the issue (maybe another issue) but the LA creeps were invited by the Dodgers ball club to "perform". It is an implication of MLB itself. They have happily backtracked, but they allowed LGBTQ promotion in the 2024 season. This promotion was entirely out of character for the baseball subculture, leading me to suspect that the Biden White House, a major source of such promotion last year, might have pressured them, but I haven't investigated this far enough to claim that outright. Maybe you know more.
