The Texas Department of State Health Services is reporting an outbreak of measles in the South Plains region of Texas. At this time, 90 cases have been identified since late January.
A measles outbreak in Texas and New Mexico has sickened over 130 people.
The dozens of reported cases have mostly affected children, the Texas Department of State Health Services said Tuesday, with 18 of the patients being hospitalized. Kids ages 5 to 17 are the most affected, with 62 cases. Thirty-nine measles cases were reported among young children up to 4 years old.
