The “China Virus” outbreak began in December 2019, almost three years into President Trump's tenure. I am not suggesting that President Trump's first three years were negative. The economy was strong, unemployment rates were low, and GDP growth was significant. However, he had three years to work on reducing the size of the federal government, but did not take significant action in this regard, which is understandable given the complexity and size of the U.S. government. Nevertheless, it is not reasonable to claim that what President Trump is doing today should have been done decades ago while excusing the lack of these actions during his first term.

That's why Democrats lost the 2024 election.

Democrats will discuss GDP, low unemployment, stock market performance, and job growth. Although these indicators showed positive trends, they are not the only metrics of a healthy economy. Inflation was high, consumer confidence was low, interest rates were elevated, and during most of President Biden's term, economists from both liberal and conservative backgrounds suggested that a recession could be imminent. Such uncertainty is not a favorable economic indicator.
