People think that you dont matter if you have mental illness. They don't have the courtesy to even say hello. It's ok. I'm blessed.

Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I may have mental illness but I also have sound doctrine, peace, joy and love. I have the holy spirit.

I share my illness not to get sympathy but to give others like myself hope. People seem to despise me for it

I have peace and joy a lot. I have hope. It’s a fine line between Jesus and meds. The one helps the other. I couldn’t have feel good without either. I don’t despise anyone, I even resist satan with love sometimes. I have anxiety attacks too. Almost everyday my mind tries to unbalanced me. But I’ve learned how to fight it.. I see my failures and try to compensate. I try not to be selfish. I try to relate to the real world in a real way with scripture and good sense and some bit of wisdom I may have because of Jesus.
I seek humility because I have been humbled. I don’t want to be a star just a member of a church where I cope the best I can. I don’t even seek to be friends with those whom I admire. I find my own friends. Because I am different and seek the positive like those who are down and out. Yet I fall short of that too.

I too were 'diagnosed' with stuff, and i know there is 'stigma' around all this.
I believe Jesus want us to be free, he paid a high price, it could be a difficult search and path, but is worth it to fight for our spiritual well being.

One thing I learned in times that I had anxiety is that sadly, for your own good there are certain people and certain situations that you need to avoid. If there are certain people, even in the church, who are not treating you well I would advise you to keep your distance if you can, for your mental wellbeing. I have often had to do that. Be with others who treat you well. God Bless You

It may be that what some say is a mental illness is the process of coming out of this world and experiencing a change of mind. To begin to develop the mind of Christ will cause a change, a separation from the world that ultimately leads to the world to come.
