So Trump orders that dangerous and divisive "gender ideology" not be promoted by the government, and somehow that translates in your mind as "gender being banned".

No, it's not that they've decided 'not to promote' gender ideology. They have literally said that gender now does not exist. And again, I mean that quite literally. To the extent that they have even banned the word. Check out any dictionary on the planet and it will tell you what gender means, as opposed to biological sex. Except now in the US.
I know what older definitions and etymologies say. Sex and gender are the same, except that gender was a linguistic expression which applied to certain languages more than to humans. I'm not interested in what some 1960's feminist propagandists decided they wanted it to mean.
It only applies to the U.S. government, which Trump is in charge of. You and your ilk are free to talk gender nonsense all you want.

Yes. It will still exist even if he says it doesn't. Some people, as I said, might think him foolish for thinking that he could change things by simply banning the use of a word. I guess you don't. But then it did appear that you were unaware of it earlier. Maybe you've had a chance to rethink it.
The only schools that are "Pentagon" schools are those overseas run by the DoD School System. Military children in the States attend state-run schools (or private or chartered schools) even if the school is located on military property. If those schools are removing books, that's "malicious compliance" going on.

I follow the news a bit. I knew what Trump did, and I know it's not the bizarre thing that you claimed he did.
We know what gender means. Banning the word doesn't change that. It's a sop to those who deny reality. It changes nothing. But it confirms a lot.
You thought it was bizarre when it was pointed out what he did. Now you say it's not bizzare that he's taken a common word that's used world wide and said 'it doesn't mean that any more.' Presumably because he thinks that the concept of gender will magically dissapear.
The language issue is significant. Most European languages are gendered. In almost all of those dogs have a masculine gender and cats feminine gender. Even in English ships are female.
In the romance languages (French, Italian, Spanish etc) the words for cat and dog change whether it's male or female. Perro, perra, gato, gata etc.
