  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

How does it being a sanctuary city have anything to do with this?
Apparently the perp is from Colombia and isn't a US citizen? I dunno.

Nothing, but it is mentioned prominently in the news item.
The story is unclear if she posted bail or is still in custody, nor the status the detainer.

How tragic. And still there are sanctuary cities.

Oh good Lord, God have mercy and heal this boy and make him whole, in Jesus Name, Amen.

We need to jail these people who won't comply with US laws - and I'm talking about sanctuary city leadership. They have done so much destruction with their decisions that they are above the law.

No American child deserves to be unsafe because no one will uphold the law. All our children deserve better than this.

I'm sure if you had a son you would be horrified if he was raped, and doubly so if you found out it could have been prevented but no lawmakers thought your son was worth safekeeping, because they decided your son was nothing but collateral damage; a mere side affect in a war they are waging against your country and your people.

We really should start enforcing law a little better, what we are doing is broken unless a war has been waged and the public not informed.

Foreigners are literally raping and pillaging their way through this country like it's 300BC and many leading Democrats seem wholly unconcerned.

Should we just pre-emptively deport all the foreigners?

There is no excuse for committing a crime, especially rape. I don't think that highlighting every immigrant crime is worthwhile though because studies show that that immigrants legal and illegal commit less crimes per person than citizens. So if you ship out all immigrants, the crime rate per person will go up, not down. It seems racist and scapegoating to out every immigrant offense when the U.S. citizens are the most criminal group. Immigrants are significantly less likely to commit crimes than the U.S.-born
