  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I sure hope bird flu is getting better, but since the health agencies have been forbidden from communicating to the public, it's anyone's guess, really.
WOAH!

US reports first outbreak of H5N9 bird flu in poultry

The United States has reported its first outbreak of H5N9 bird flu in poultry on a duck farm in California, the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) said on Monday.

The strain that has caused most damage in recent years has been H5N1. H5N9 is rarer.

Trump says inflation isn't his No. 1 issue.

But in Trump's first week back in the White House, there was little in his initial blitz of executive orders that directly tackled those prices, besides directing federal agencies to start “pursuing appropriate actions.” He is taking steps to lower energy costs, something that Trump hopes will have ripple effects throughout the economy.

How it started:
“When you buy apples, when you buy bacon, when you buy eggs, they would double and triple the price over a short period of time,” he told NBC’s “Meet the Press. “And I won an election based on that. We’re going to bring those prices way down.”

How it's going:
“They all said inflation was the No. 1 issue. I said, ‘I disagree,’” Trump said. “I talked about inflation too, but how many times can you say that an apple has doubled in cost?”

I'm surprised that wasn't kept a secret.
Any DOJ underlings whose job was to work the cases they are assigned, just got fired by Trump.
Simply because they were tasked to investigate him.

One can take what is said for what it's worth. I take in consideration what gets done for the betterment of Americans. In that, there is no comparison.
Well, at least one specific American has benefitted quite well under Trump's administration.

He has a mouth on him but I have to say I am very pleased with his first week
Yes, I would agree. The previous administration worked hard at delivering the goods, for everyone BUT the American people.
Trump can be a bull in a china shop, but the efforts are for America.

*Mexico paying for border security. *Infrastructure. *Cheaper prescriptions. *New American manufacturing.

You may recognize the above as things that Trump ran on in 2016, but never got done.
What you apparently don't recognize is the above is what Biden got done.
So in other words, Biden got more of Trump's promises than Trump did.
And yes, it was done for the American people.

Hahahaha, what border security?
WASHINGTON (AP) — Mexican President Andres Manuel López Obrador agreed to spend $1.5 billion over the next two years to improve “smart” border technology during meetings Tuesday with President Joe Biden — a move the White House says shows neighborly cooperation succeeding where Trump administration vows to wall off the border and have Mexico pay for it could not.

“When I win, I will immediately bring prices down, starting on Day One,” --Trump.

Seems to me he is not only five days delinquent, prices are increasing rather than going down.

And he's done nothing.

Nobody sane expected prices to come down immediately. I don't expect them to ever come down (i.e. negative inflation across a broad basket of products).

But he has taken no action to address a problem that he had previously called a Day One problem to start addressing.

Drugs come through points of entries, mostly by Americans. Enhanced security technology at points of entries does in fact work.
It was far more beneficial than the con of Mexico paying for a wall, that never happened. And it was far more beneficial than taking 7.2B in allocated military funds and using it to build 80 miles of wall.

Well, you have convinced me - I will never vote for Trump for President again -

I'm still glad I did!
