This is somewhat true. Several news outlets in the Los Angeles area have reported that because of the extreme demand, fire hydrants ran dry in some areas and water storage tanks did go dry in the Palisades area, and local officials expressed serious concern over this.

According to NBC LA, Janisse Quinones, CEO and Chief Engineer for LA Department of Water and Power, said three large water tanks, about 1 million gallons each, were impacted.

This is somewhat true, but I don't see what it has to do with your previous comment about ocean water, that is indeed being used. And obviously firefighting planes are being used, in apparent contradiction to Trump's not-entirely-coherent statement.

As for the fire hydrants, nothing about Trump's complaints about diverting water from NorCal to SoCal would have affected this in any way whatsoever, and I defy you to provide evidence to the contrary.

Please don't cherry pick and take his words out of context. Please also show many of the rest of what President-elect Donald Trump has posted and also said in news conferences regarding the really stupid California policies about the annual series of wildfires in California.

He's been complaining about the way California does forestry management (which is to say they don't) since 2016 and earlier.

It's a major problem. If you don't keep the underbrush down fire will go out of control.

You can't just do nothing.
