I'm saying gerontocracy happens because politicians figure out how to stay in power for a long time. The party doesn't matter. Biden was sharp as a tack, right, until it was obvious he really wasn't. Trump will be sharp as ever until it's obvious he no longer is. Are you expecting some kind of principled position from either the Democrats or the Republicans? Kindly as I can, are you that naive? Are the Democrats suddenly actually opposed to gerontocracy? Or just opposed to Trump who happens to be only a bit younger than Biden?But....I thought the GOP objected to that. Surely, when they're in charge, they'll adopt a policy to ensure that kind of thing didn't happen.
Right?
-- A2SG, or are you saying the GOP is perfectly fine with the idea after all?
As to what the GOP is fine with, you would have to ask them. I haven't been a Republican for eight years and four months. I'm not fine with incapacitated presidents and invisible bureaucrats running the country where people are pretending that's hunky dory. That lie, that Biden was more than OK, was the big lie of this presidency. It was not OK.
