The campaigns of 2026 and 2028 begin today.
When values and principles are involved, there is no other alternative for people of conscience.
I imagine you all felt the same way when you voted for a convicted felon, insurrectionist, $400 million tax cheat, sexual predator, and more.
I'm just not sure what those values and principles are.
Maybe, instead of listening to the MSM, listen to Trump speak and make your own conclusions.

By all accounts, those who personally know Trump say he is a generous, caring man.

Blessings

Curses? Threats? Simulated sex? Inciting hatred? My opinion of Trump is not formed by mainstream media. It is his own words that indict him before God and man. (Note: an indictment is not a conviction, and there is certainly enough primary evidence to make that statement.)

.....yet Harris made her campaign ALL ABOUT murdering the most innocent in their mother's womb and hatred against trump. All she did was cackle and talk about coconut trees.

It's her own fault she lost.

I'm thankful she admitted it.

@Fantine I mean no disrespect to you, personally. I actually like you quite a lot. And yes, I have serious issues with Trump.

That being said, Harris was the most anti-Catholic candidate in history.

I couldn't, in good conscience, vote for her.

Sorry.

Among other things. And no real answers to direct questions.

She can't speak in complete sentences. Just lots of word salad and a lot of laughing.

There is NO WAY she could lead a nation.

NOT a chance.

Former President Donald Trump has promised to provide faith leaders with direct access to him in the Oval Office if he wins the election.

3am Worship session breaks out at Trump HQ after victory!

To those of you who mistakenly believe Trump is pro-life (although he has denied it time and time again), it obviously makes up for mountains of immorality and danger to millions.
I saw Vladimir Zelensky this morning "congratulating the victor and saying he looked forward to working with him." Of course that's what he had to say, but it looked an awful lot like "we who are about to die salute you." Two nations to be obliterated in genocide in weeks. The victor has already spoken to Netanyahu about their plans to deal with Iran. Palestinian and Ukranian genocide. The possibility of wars, with the blood of the victims screaming. Although I know they will inhabit my nightmares, at least I know that I bear no responsibility for a global tragedy I tried to prevent.

I don't know.

Harris would be the most pro-abortion president if she won.

Furthermore, can you imagine her debating or negotiating with another world leader?

I cannot.

It would have been a disaster.

Peace.

Both the victor and VP Harris have had extensive experience negotiating. Harris as a district attorney and attorney general of the largest state in our country had to prosecute cases and also negotiate plea agreements. As VP she represented our country in Central America and other places.

Trump negotiated in the business world, real estate contracts and bankruptcies. Tax audits and other unsavory business matters.
He pretty much tried to strong arm NATO, left the Paris Climate Accords, met with President Xi and got some very favorable patents for Ivanka's business, things like that.

I used to shudder when I saw the disdain in the eyes of world leaders when Trump met with them. He just wanted his own say all the time and tried to bully and threaten them. That's not negotiating. Then of course he wanted to drag them all to his Miami hotel in June, the hottest, most humid month of the year when his hotel would be empty, so that he could make a fortune while the US hosted the G7. Tacky, tacky, tacky.

I'm just not sure what those values and principles are.
Those would be care for the innocent unborn and a desire to be able to continue practicing our faith, first and foremost.
To those of you who mistakenly believe Trump is pro-life (although he has denied it time and time again), it obviously makes up for mountains of immorality and danger to millions.
He gave us the justices who struck down the single most evil judgment in the Supreme Court's history, which has resulted in innocent lives being saved. And that's not even to get into the moral issues of the left's promotion of sinful lifestyle choices.

EXACTLY! I voted against Harris because she is all about abortion, abortion, abortion. She celebrates "pride" and LGBT NONSENSE.

As a Christian, I find that disgusting.

No, I do not want her in the White House.

I certainly would choose an alternative with better odds. Not pinning my hopes to a million to one chance.

They'll never save him, even with a mass altar call. He worships at the altar of wealth and power.
The only person who knows that is God.

I know, and as I said, I pray every day God grants the Victor an extreme makeover so he will be a servant leader instead of an opportunistic charlatan.

One would think the narrow escape form an assassins' bullet would have brought about some conversion but it only made him worse, more arrogant and power hungry.

It brings up something I have been thinking about. A paradox in faith..
We are called to be detached from the world - not "of it".
And yet we are also called to be involved in the world, concerned for justice and truth.
Detached and yet concerned.. Unsoiled and yet committed..

"Laymen should also know that it is generally the function of their well-formed Christian conscience to see that the divine law is inscribed in the life of the earthly city; from priests they may look for spiritual light and nourishment. . . . Since they have an active role to play in the whole life of the Church, laymen are not only bound to penetrate the world with a Christian spirit, but are also called to be witnesses to Christ in all things in the midst of human society." https://www.usccb.org/issues-and-ac...ming-consciences-for-faithful-citizenship.pdf

bound to penetrate the world with a Christian spirit

Christian Spirit? The spirit of tuning tables over? The spirit of "Woe to you?" "The spirit of go and sin no more?"

Also the paradox of not judging others and yet speaking truth to power. I do not feel "sick" at all. I don't think you need to be warning me to "let it go" what ever you mean by "it". Some things are beyond our control and influence. We can just breath and let such things be as they are. But we can still have discussion and ongoing discernment.

Faith leaders having access to the Oval Office sound like a wonderful thing. Doesn't it? Do you know much about Paula White-Cain?
